he 2022 ITTF World Team Table Tennis Championships Finals Chengdu presented by China Telecom will see the globe’s strongest teams face off to win two of the sport's most coveted prizes; the Swaythling and Corbillon Cups. More than 250 athletes will be out in force representing 60 teams across the 10 days of table tennis action.
The draw ceremony will take place on Wednesday 28 September. Play commences on Friday 30 September with the group phase. The knockout stage starts Wednesday 5 October. The women’s and men’s finals will take place on Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 October respectively.
Chengdu will host the 56th edition of the event. The first World Table Tennis Championships were held in London in 1926 and since 1957 has been held biennially. The World Team Table Tennis Championships were first staged as their own competition in 2000.
