10:23 there is a small correction to this dears. Its not prithviraj who started acting free of cost for some films its Mammookka ! Eg. films like munnariyippu. Actresses Urvasi and Menaka also has stated that it was Mammookka who took initiative to drive Malayalam Cinema’s b-grade status out and establish it name in Tamil Industry.

Well said Balu Sir on two things : 1. Our perception on Malayalam movies with A certificate (bittu otradhu was the ultimate point) 🤣🤣🤣. Watching Malayalam movies and I got enlightened with their quality of movie-making during COVID days. Important point to note is, their movies are dependent on only story, content, screenplay and story-telling of various characters and giving importance to those characters. Namma TN or Andhra la thaan, indha STARS ah ucchathil thooka vecchi verum neraya MASALA va pottu avangala ETTHI KEDUTHU vecchi irukkom. 2. Prithviraj - mark my words. The dedication, hard-work and effort he has put in, selecting a very low labor character is applaud able in a big way and he will surely bag all national awards including OSCARS. Oh boy, what a mind-blowing performance and a pat on the director also for his 16 year effort. Both the Mallu boys character, they just lived it. If at all, there is one change I like to see is, movie we all know goes slow but still screenplay and Prithvi performances kept us glued to our seats. They can trim 10 to 15 mins of the scenes, rather than 2hr 52 min, it can be trimmed to 2hr 37 min.

See bro, The movie when they had shot was around 3 hrs 30mins. From this they trimmed down to 2hr 52. Now you want it to be further trimmed??? There are many people who are complaining that in the current 2hr 52 mins movie, there are so many things missing when compared to the novel. So if they further trim down to 2hr 37 mins. Do you think it will go well with the already complaining audiences? The movie is slow in the second half mainly because the director want us to feel how deep the desert is and it is very difficult to get out of it. He wanted to show the importance of resilience and patience which many people in the new generation lacks.

@@vaisakh15762 Fair enough but you know today's world how people are right ? 9 out of 10 people lack that patience if not the re-silence. Maybe as u said, they could have added some other content mentioned in the novel as part of that 2hr 52 min screening. For big screen viewing, the amount of content along with tight screenplay is a must. Practically speaking, all this patience and re-silence can be tested at OTT level. I would be happy to watch the movie once more in OTT if they can release that 3hr 30 min content.. But all said, brilliant movie made bro, I simply liked it and mine was mostly generic comment, nothing to tease or criticize 🙂

I think most of the Tamilites still not aware how we celebrate Tamil cinema(be it commercial type or not). that too not just recently, people used to appreciate Kamalhasan and Rajini form their early time it self. and later Vijay, Ajith, Surya ...list goes on. I would say not just Tamil, lately after 2000s we started following Telugu as well. Hindi movies were always been watched but not celebrated much in theatres as other one's. on the other side, As he said, Malayalam cinemas were not appreciated anywhere until recently(there were few exceptions). since it is a small industry a little help from other regions would help them a lot.

@@rsv6603if Kerala is so great, why is its GDP growth and per capita income lower than TN’s? Higher literacy rate is great but TN also has a much higher population. It is easier to get a higher literacy rate for a small state like Kerala, much difficult for a big state. So TN’s literacy rate assumes more significance than Kerala’s. It is like saying TN have more entrepreneurs, engineers, and doctors than Kerala, TN’s nominal GDP Is higher than Kerala’s - these are expected for a big state. Both TN and Kerala are good states. Don’t bring in one factor and try to impose your supremacy. We could bring in a lot more factors and show how we are way better.
