Old Windmill Farm in Lancaster , PA - Amish country. They offer several different tours and experiences. We did a private tour on this day and got some great info on the workings of the farm. Jesse, the owner of the farm, allowed this filming and footage: )

Hi UK friend! They are very interesting and I always want to know the why of anyone’s behavior and the Amish usually have a why but sometimes they also just stick with tradition. Interestingly, the Amish came from closer to you! They are originally from places like Switzerland, northeastern France, southeastern Germany in the 18th and early 19th centuries - around those parts. 😉👍

I know Jesse and Anna Ruth Lapp visited them many times we've become good friends, the Farm where Jesse and Anna Ruth live is where his Dad farmed Eli Lapp who lives at the farm to the East of Jessie's farm, jessie has an older 2 brother's named Eli Jr. and Jacob who has become a Bishop in his community, sisters Anna Ruth fisher, and Sadie Zook, Anna Ruth Fisher lives on the Farm to the East of Jessie. Definitely visit their farm as much as you can their friendship is the best and pretty soon you'll feel like family like I feel with them.

Thank you Marc for saying such truthful and wonderful things about Jesse and Anna ❤️❤️☺️☺️. They are sooo very welcoming and kind!! And how terrific that you know them so well!! What a blessing 😉😉. I really appreciate all this info! They are entwined like stitching on a quilt 🥰🥰. I just contacted Jesse last week and reserved a spot in October for their Harvest visit - bringing some rookies along so it’ll be great!! Thanks again for your very wonderful compliment to them!

Hello! Just got back from my trip to Lancaster, PA - Amish country... I know it's off topic but I feel that I need to give you an update on my trip. Lancaster La Quinta that we've been going to for 20+ years will never see us again. They were taken over by Windham and it's not the same. They won't care about losing our business because they had so many bus loads of rude people coming in and out of the place in just 5 days. I was also very disappointed in all the places we typically eat at except Shady Maple. They were understaffed and buffet items were limited. I was pleasantly surprised by the Roast beef sub that I got at Amos' place for our ride home when we stopped to buy our meats. I did get to go to Roots but it wasn't all that impressive. We will be checking out Tennessee and North Carolina in the future. All good things must come to an end. I'm sorry that Windham had let all the good people I've come to know over the years go and bring in cheaper help.

Rob I am so sorry to hear this 🙁 it is disappointing when a place changes for the worse. Glad there were some good points. Hope you have a good time on your next part of your adventure 😉. Thanks for letting us know

Great video it was just to short. Is there a lot of walking on the tour? Not sure when it happened but I got old and fat and walking long distances is a problem.

David 😂😂🤪🤪!! U r too much! I have 2 more videos on this place so hopefully that will make u happy:). Most viewers don’t usually watch longer videos but it’s nice to know you want to:). You will see something pretty cool on next video - my Mom is handicap and she did great there - it’s scooter accessible!

First tell the people watching this video what town this Amish farm is in or near ! Also does it cost to see the Amish Farm ! ?

Yes I could have done that but I actually try to provide a different view or perspective than you can find on their website - a more personal representation. I put a link to their website in my description which of course lists all their prices and location. But I will include more info on part 2,

If you are truly and sincerely wondering why, I would suggest doing one do the many tours in Lancaster which will tell you a lot of the “whys” of the Amish Faith. You can also check out www.discoverlancaster.com for more info on the Amish. But the short answer is it is one of the ways they stay set apart and not become dependent on the world and technology but rather keep their reliance on the Lord God as well as keep connected to each other. There’s a lot more to the story though 😉☺️
