@@fiveohfivethree Haha daal and rice is the ultimate comfort food, I will just have a bowl of that for dinner sometimes. I'm glad that most Brits love Indian food so much but also most of them know only the oily/meaty curries and not the food we actually eat at home, which is fair because for us, all the kinds of vegetables we cook with might be scary for fans of Brindian cuisines. Our home food is always much healthier, cleaner and easier on the palette, I will always love that more than at the restaurants

But either way, even though the ingredients might be slightly different, it's still the same thing. Variations, that's what we called them.

Priya's videos give a natural "This feels awkward, I'll add quarky humor to this situation." It's absolutely infectious to laugh along. Gives the feel that really anyone can be in the test kitchen, as long as you have a passion for food and a general understanding of what to do in a kitchen.

This was standard fair for me and some of my poor college classmates. Usually we’d use pita or bagels, bread or whatever was available. College survival 101.

Well both tortillas and roti are categorized as flatbread. The type of flour they used might be different, but the final products have similar form and taste. It's like noodles, they have all different shapes and ingredients. But all of them are noodles.
