The issue isn't that O'Donnell thought Priyanka was Deepak Chopra's daughter or even that she didn't know who Priyanka is, the issue is that she brought a private issue public, that she referred to Priyanka Chopra as "Nick Jonas's wife", and that even for her apology she didn't bother to Google Priyanka's name. It's not the worst thing a celebrity has done (obviously) but it's honestly stupid that people are defending O'Donnell. It was a mistake (and it shouldn't have been brought public) let it be left as a stupid mistake and not a big issue.

Priyanka is justified in her response, if Rosie was really sincere with her apology she would have addressed Priyanka by her name and not someone Chopra or the Chopra wife. The "apology" was very insulting and very ignorant. This whole thing could have been avoided had Rosie reached out privately to Nick and Priyanka but she chose to make this a public matter so she got what she deserved. Show some respect to the person you are apologizing to!

O'Donnell or something like that wasnt apologizing at all. Her intention was not to acknowledge her mistake and say sorry about that private encounter/mistake. She intentionally wanted to mock, humiliate and embarrass Priyanka Chopra. The main issue is not about Odoneel not knowing priyanka Chopra's name, popularity or her achievements but the way she later addresssed Priyanka as Nick Jonas wife, Something Chopra was insulting and disrespectful. She did it on purpose. Some women are very jealous and hateful of other gorgeous and successful women's achievements, that they try to tear them down.

Hey. Everyone makes mistakes. This wasn’t a terrible mistake, it was more awkward and sloppy if anything else. I would’ve handled it privately instead of posting the issue on Instagram for the whole world to see. Or at least do my homework before posting the Instagram video. But it’s a bridge that can be mended. Just stop posting fix it with a phone call and end it in private.
