What setting did you put Opus Quad in to get the Scratches to sound that Precise and Nice ?

I am currently conflicted between the Opus Quad and the S11 mixer, which sounds better in practice, I always feel that the vocals are not as clean and clear on the Opus, instead only the bass dominates, even though it has the better sound card. Is my perception deceiving and is the overall sound really better than the S11? I would be very grateful to hear your experiences!

You can select your existing memory points on the Opus-Quad.

I have a question about this not sure if anyone really knows the answer, but if I’m using an older version of record box (3.3) would it still work with this all in one? I understood something about updating the database in order for it to work. Does anybody have information on that?

Update to the latest rekordbox. It won’t work on on anything on 3, 4, 5, and any version 6 version before this past Tuesday.

@@priyonjoni gotcha buddy… I have a question so is the software in this newer than the CDJ 3000 and XDJ-RX3? Reason I ask is because I am able to operate my CDJ 3000 and RX3 units still using record box 3.3.

The OPUS-QUAD uses a new library called Device Library Plus. The option for it only exists on the latest rekordbox recently released along side OPUS-QUAD. It is FREE to update and use to export. The reason version 3.3 works on your CDJ-3000 and XDJ-RX3, is because the CDJ and XDJ uses the older Device Library (not Plus). I highly urge you to update your rekordbox. You are missing out on key features on the CDJ and XDJ you currently have, including 3-band waveform. Also, you are missing out on the ability to use rekordbox in performance mode AND export mode (with Link Export) with your units. Again, it is FREE to update and use for exporting your music. And it is FREE to use with your devices. Version 3.3 has been discontinued for years and is no longer supported.

@@priyonjoni Thank you so much for your help my friend I really appreciate it! The reason I never upgraded was because of fear of my library being modified.. So once I do upgrade, will it modify anything in my library as far as cue points, playlists, BPMs? I want my library to stay exactly the way it is without it being modified in any shape or form that’s my biggest fear… by any chance do you have a link to the latest version of record box for me to download I appreciate all your help and input in this. Thank you so much.

You can get rekordbox from rekordbox.com . Usually, when you have a new version of rekordbox, say going from version 4.x to 5.x, you are able to migrate your library to the new version. It does not overwrite your old library, rather it creates a new one for the new version. However, because your version is so old, I am not even sure if you can do a migration from version 3 to version 6. I checked with Pioneer DJ support and they don't know of any case of it being done. But here's what they suggested if you are unable to migrate. Export your entire library to a large and empty USB drive or SSD. Then open the new rekordbox, and import it in. It will also help clean up any bad data from the version 3 library. Then in rekordbox 6, just reanalyze everything under the parameters you wish. If you don't want your key settings to change, just uncheck key analysis. If you need additional help, here is the link to Pioneer DJ support. Ask for Pulse.
