Please take a look.

It is rare these days to find people building stone retaining walls in America. With concrete retaining wall blocks readily available, this job can be done in half a day. However, it does not have the old world charm and characters like stones. Such a beautiful work and dedication. This is why Japanese gardens are so beautiful to look at. Love it!

Yes, it is! After all, natural materials like this create a different atmosphere than concrete. I hope this appeal will be felt by many people!

I do like the contrast in the stones. Color and texture differences that came together with the meticulous, and eye for perfection, of the men doing the work. The Do-Bei wall going to the right truly does draw the eye to it, paired with the different rocks. All these details truly shows the experience and talents. I really like the cinematography too! Strong work, everyone! ♥️🙏🏼

They weren’t messing around with the rebar when they built the original concrete planter! Also the dobei are some labor intensive structures, eh?I imagine the original ones without concrete took a really long time to make.

At your opening B-roll video @:13, did that Shibuya building have a 'living wall' on its facade? Love the creative addition of that corner, made the do-bei to highlight even more interest on the garden artists' inspired stone-stacking and stone-fitting. Where I live, many new Southern California homes are being built in new developments. Some use faux stacked- or random-stone veneers that are easily mortared on framed & sheathed or block walls but they DON'T compare to your artists' warm, highly-textured and beautifully-stacked stonework
@JapaneseGardenTV
@JapaneseGardenTV 2 жыл бұрын
Yes, it is! The texture of natural stone, after all, gives it a look that no other material can match! This stone wall has instantly changed the atmosphere of this garden! I'm sure it will change a lot in the next video!
