Voice Play multi tracks. Layne can beatbox and play the violin at the same time, but they don't put it in the videos because it looks weird.

The shock and awe when he played the violin...... priceless!! I think he's only done it three times.

Layne was beatboxing while he played his concert violin during recording. It looked off in the video filming, so they only had him play the prop black violin during that section. This cover is one of the top masterpieces of voiceplay. They should have got a grammy nomination for it. Geoff arrangement and crazy guitar baseline, rock god Eli released, top notch fill from caesar and j none, and of course... violayne. Even the black album video theme is tasteful.

VioLayne has done violin 3 times over the years. First time was Warriors (Imagine Dragons) where both Layne and J None did violins. They did this right at my birthday - felt like an incredible gift. In The Air Tonight is great. VoicePlay was done more than 800 videos!

For more violin, check our "Lion Sleeps Tonight" and "Warriors". This video caught the attention of members of the legendary band, 'Chicago', prompting them to reach out to Voice Play to play two concerts with them back in November.

It makes me sooooo excited to see other people fall in love with VoicePlay and appreciate their talent. They are wonderful...and in addition to their talent they are kind sweet humble amazing wonderful humans.

After this one I just started saying “the next one” was my favorite VP song. What I love is how Layne and Geoff will play off each other to make you think they’re using a full drum kit and a bank of sub woofers. My favorite song where they just go off the rails is Friends on the Other Side from the Disney animated Princess and the Frog. At the end you’d swear it’s really instruments and with J None just killing the lead it’s mind blowing.

I don't think you used enough seat belts. Don't worry they've shocked many reactors into shocked silence. This is the song that almost didn't happen. I'm glad they waited for J None to be available. In Dream On he made a Predator-type sound, but you couldn’t see he was doing anything, so they had him do something else just for the video.

You really need to see Warriros, which gave Layne his nickname of VioLayne. :) In that oine he did beatbox while playing but he said it looked too odd, so he hasn't done it again. I have to disagree though with one comment. Geoff's really most challenging arrangement was his medley from Wicked, for six voices. It took years to do, eventually, for various reasons. I think this is the one when they were wet mopping the floor between takes to keep it shiny and reflective. :) Geoff and VP pay all the copyrights themselves, so don't pass that on to reactors. Geoff says that Boy Bands in 5 Minutes cost them so much in royalties that they've never made a single cent on it.
