Viper, Low Elo Part 2 when?

Aoe2 is a great game, but such an old one, it has a niche following now. Fb could get it to mainstream, with aoe4 coming out as well. Fb gaming is going serious, made a deal with Microsoft i think. Facebook may get in new viewers, who may migrate to twitch if they like the game. In 3 days T90 has gotten 700 viewers, thats not bad and will only increase a lot when viper starts as well, after all its constantly invoking viper for years that helped him get where he is now. Also, they could get facebook to throw in good money tournaments, and for that to happen i think true aoe2 fans should watch Viper on fb as well. Unless their is financial viability, i dont think potential players will be motivated enough to make aoe2 their full-time careers. Also, not saying it will happen anytime soon, but i dont see whats for aoe2 if/when viper retires, we dont have anyone else with that long term and BIG cult following. He carries the viewership, look at the views any of his games get compared to others! Mbl, Hera.... maybe... but mb has survived long but he's not for all, hera's is yet to sustain for years to have that kind of impact. And if it doesn't work out, he can always come back to twitch (think mbl let the 2 yr contract thing slip), but potentially having already bought his dream house and well set for future! If anyone wants to know, i never have used fb, but you can simply view Viper's page live and old videos un chrome browser without any login and stuff. Just type in the link he said.

I understand your reasoning that the nature of the business is volatile and that you want to capitalize whilst you can BUT have you thought about how this move may hasten the demise of AoE? Potentially killing it's longevity and taking away the livelihoods of your friends much sooner? It's easy to picture a negative feedback loop occurring here. Wherein, the move to FB will see a reduction in viewership numbers, reducing community interest, which will reduce sponsorship interest, reducing tournaments which further reduce community interest again. Obviously a fiscal move for yourself, but at what cost?
