I have just tried it and mag charging can work while using plugged in accessories, so simple solution phone > mag charger > mag attach the adaptor. Bingo

I thought about mounting an ssd to the back of the phone but with the BlackMagic Camera App, you can record 60p internally, so.. no mounting or extra device needed. After a certain a period of recording, you can just transfer out the files to an ssd, clear files and continue. I have the 1TB iPhone storage so rarely do I need to do any immediate transfers. At the end of the day, you just transfer files out to your computer. I feel that it is more convenient that way, plus easier to mount the phone to the gimbal as well without dealing with extra mounting devices.

I feel like the card should have been recessed. It seems like there is a chance you are going to push it accidentally when you are going to grab it, especially with the way its positioned.

I've been using the external Recorder now with my existing CF express Cards!! But it doesn't work on iPhone Pro Max... The damn Cable is way too short. I hope Kondor Blue fixes this!

The speed is almost the same as with my Samsung T7...I added a magnetic ring to the back of my drive and I can mount it on the back of the phone. Is this a better solution than using a SSD? I was going to get a crucial SSD-even smaller...I just checked the Kondor blue website. There is a version with a SD card but a V90 card won't be as fast as a SSD or a CF express card

Do more people actually have cfast cards than samsung drives? I feel like this is a great solution that completely missed the mark. CF drives are more than double the price of samsung ssd's and are much more versatile.

Some clients want "shot on iPhone" footage, they believe a footage coming from an iPhone looks more organic, real and relatable. If you show up to a shoot like that with a Hasselblad, which can't do anything an iPhone can when it comes to videos, there may be some "bad times".

I have an X1D and I tried filming with it: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/kN2YnLN7qM7Teqs.htmlsi=J6y22HmfjTRrhxLF&t=132 you can't compare this to an iPhone. And you can't even get close to what you can do with an iPhone if you try it with an Hasselblad. However, if it is a photo shoot, we can discuss medium format vs computational photography. But even that can be irrelevant if the client wants it for social media.

An SSD (classic stick style) with USB-C is cheaper than this one without a CF card 😂 (like the SSD Transcend 310c). Too expensive for just one card slot, USB-C cable, and magnet inside…
