Seth's beat sounded better. Kyle your beat was good too, but it sounded so stock.. Garage Band is okay on iPhone when you're on a short flight or something. Goes to show you that the right sounds/effects plus knowing your DAW makes a huge difference. Very entertaining video.

you’d be surprised what you can make when you have experience in garageband. when i first started producing i started in garageband for like 10 months before getting logic. i made some songs that sound amazing for garageband. obviously good equipment can help, but you need to be good at the basics before anything else

@@menproductions4941 half and half I like Kyle but his ego is so big I can't avert my gaze. Like he kinda sh*t on Seth's beat and had to actively disrupt because he probably knew he'd be beaten. I think both beats were good. Kyle's sounded pop-ish and sorta uninspired. I think Seth's was bare bones and had basic structure (albeit decent for a noob) but his melody was fire I with a little more time that beat could be awesome. I think it would hurt anyone to have someone who edits your video outdo you, especially if you are way more advanced skill-wise and experience-wise

Seth did better than I would have in FL. I've worked in million dollar studios, I've gone from Roland, MPC, ASR hardware sequencers to Cakewalk, Sonar, Cubase to Reason and I still haven't figured out FL Studio. However, my 18 y/o son is a beast with FL........Maybe I should have him tutor me?????🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️🤣🤣🤣

GarageBand can actually produce some bangers if you know what you’re doing. Also, the touch guitar and drums are top notch, so it’s a pretty easy way to add velocity and variation without tweaking every individual note.

@@abox7935 Yeah made me see him in a different light to before. I saw a similar ego trip with Simon Services overtaking him since Kyle leveraged him to become successful. It's a nasty trait in a person having an ego or undeserved confidence. I mean he's obviously a good producer, but he was a fish out of water here and his editor clearly has some knowledge and capacity. At least a natural affinity.

I’ve been thinking making beats for almost 8 years now, always used GarageBand on iOS, because I didn’t want to sink money into it when I just do it for fun. Definitely feel like my experience that comes with using it for so long, has made me know all the tricks to not make shit sound like GarageBand, I sit and EQ all my drums just to make it sound right, but I’m looking forward to my time with FL, I’m trash but once I get the hang of the DAW, it will be cake

For people wondering yes it is possible to make good beats on garage band. I started producing on garage band and at first it's difficult but once you understand it it's much easier. The trick for drums is to put one shots into the sampler so you can get better quality. Trust me DO NOT get de motivated if you use garageband, my most popular video on youtube with 16K views is a beat made on garageband and also my first few sales where beats made on garageband. I've now switched to FL Studio for obvious reasons but for people just coming into producing Garageband isn't bad to use.

I been using GarageBand for years just because I don’t have time to invest in going all out with FL plug-ins, APK minis, and all that shit. Believe me, you can do some cool shit in GarageBand because you have the ability to sample whatever sound you want just like any DAW.

When I was younger, I used FL studio for years to produce beats. After finishing university I started my career in software development and sold my studio. But ended up still making beats in garageband. And to be honest some of those sound amazing!
