The phrase "You knew the risk of ~doing the deed~ so now you should have to deal with the consequences" gets me. Like, every time I drive, I know that there's a risk I could get T-boned by a drunk in an SUV. But if that happens, you wouldn't deny me medical care for the consequences. Hell, you wouldn't deny medical care to the drunk driver, either. So in both cases you have someone doing an activity with an inherent risk, but they go into that risk knowing that care exists to alleviate those consequences if needed.

The whole concept is designed to punish women for having sex, even within marriage, and lock them down into child bearing and rearing responsibilities. Because that’s what’s depicted in their 1950’s dreamland fantasy.

It’s almost as if not everyone wants children, but do still want love and/or sex. 🤔 Or, imagine this, a couple already has existing children that they want to prioritize, or because they don’t have the money to provide for an additional child.

I hate the idea that if someone got pregnant it's because they were obviously being reckless. When failed birth control or sabotaged birth control is a thing. Not to mention someone not on birth control getting assaulted.

I hate this dystopia of "let's all stay virgins until we want a bébé". Like, no! Absolutely not! Some people never want children, does that mean these people can never have sex? Why does every pregnancy HAVE TO BE carried to term. Why are they so hellbent on controlling women*.

Having sex implies consent to the risk of getting pregnant. The thing this guy probably doesn’t understand about consent is that it can be revoked at any time, so sex is not consent to **staying** pregnant until giving birth.

4:20 This is why college is so important. These types of questions are what are discussed in a philosophy 101 class. The caller thinks Jovan doesn't know about the harm to a fetus vs harm to grass. But Jovan is trying to get the caller to articulate his own ethical framework. But the caller doesn't understand this and has never sat down and actually thought about these types of questions.

Everyone is on about "young girls" when nearly all abortions that I had heard about from women I know were married women, some with other children already, some with pregnancy complications, and nearly all were taking precautions and the contriception failed. How this guy goes on saying everyone gets vasectomies, all 11-12 year old....like females don't also become 11 & 12 year olds ever.

Apparently there is some new plant science that shows that plants have awareness of animal or insect attack and it will chemically message other plants to make them aware so they can put up defenses.

They don't even need to be mandatory. No human rights need be infringed upon. Just normalize it along with segsual education and therapy. That'll go a heck of a long way to solving most of these junk arguments.

These abortion debates drive me crazy when the person on the call doesn’t have any counterpoints or logic to back up their points, but stick with “it’s just what I believe that abortion is bad”. Like that’s totally fine, for YOU. You don’t need to ever have an abortion yourself because that’s what you personally believe. There’s lots of pro-choice people who feel the same way personally. The issue is when you still feel entitled to force your worldview and beliefs onto everyone else even though you don’t have any sound arguments for it. I don’t understand people’s audacity and hubris with it.

So weird how these kinds of people won’t wear a mask to potentially save a life because they feel that impedes on their rights but expect women to suffer through unwanted pregnancy, birth and motherhood for the potential of creating a life. Like, pick a lane.
