Dude…Ernest is a phenomenal singer/songwriter. You should check out his new album or Flower Shops album. You’ll appreciate his writing and arrangements.

You’re correct that Ern has been writing for a while, especially with/for Mo. He just released his sophomore album today, 25 songs, another Mo duet (radio fodder, but good). It’s a mixture of rsdio-friendly vs. retro country (Willie Nelson’s son on a duet, etc.), plus a really good duet with Lainey Wilson. Besides the Mo song I like Life Goes On (lotsa pedal steel), Ain’t Too Late (sorta Petty styling), Did It (John Mayer-ish?) He luvs Mayer and covers Burning Room, too. So I guess it’s an “influences” album.

You should react to “I would if I could” by ERNST and Lainey Wilson. Same kind of song. Simple and beautiful.

His first album is very throwback country sound. Local born and raised Nashville kid. His new Album just dropped this week. I have not given it a listen yet
