So far, I've only done one Nuzlocke, in Crystal Clear. I died to a random trainer you talk to, not knowing that he was a trainer to fight (since Crysal Clear adds a lot of random trainers you can fight not in the base game), and he had a Crobat 10+ levels higher than my team with Hyper Beam. Needless to say, that Crobat wiped my team.

I know you say you hate everyone in the youtube comments, Jan, but I have to say thank you for drastically improving my pokemon experiences. I can't play or watch pokemon now with stuff like items in battle just because I've watched your videos and learned to respect why you think it's overpowered. Thanks as always for the great content . You inspired me to get back into pokemon and try my first hardcore nuzlocke man! I went w emerald bc it’s the game i know best. Picked treecko bc i wanted it to be extra challenging. Just wiped to wattsons mageton. Had pretty awful encounters but i massively misplayed not encoring his thunderwave w minun. I also missed 3 (count them 3) sleep powders in a row w a gloom then got confused and then lost it all. I already respected you man but damn. This shit is wayyyyy harder than it looks. You best believe i’m going back in (i’m definitely picking my boy mudkip this time around though i can’t deal w another huge wipe to mageton again lol)

i tried to do a hardcore nuzlocke of vanilla emerald, added one more rule (i could only bring as many pokemon as the gym leader had) wiped to norman havent restarted yet.

I don’t like how in Emerald Kaizo they take away so many options with he non offensive attacks. If it weren’t for that this might be one of, if not the best enhanced rom hacks

Spinda is one of my favorite Pokémon and I’ve been using it in my Emerald Nuzlocke. He’s stayed alive so far and we just beat Norman. Made me glad to see the best Nuzlocker in the world using a Spinda as well, despite having garbage stats.

I just started a Fire Red Ultra Nuzlocke Series on my channel, and by ultra Nuzlocke I mean that you’re only able to use 4 Pokemon for all major battles (Gyms, boss battles and Pokemon League). I have no idea if it is possible at all, but at least the idea sounds fun. We will see how it goes. What do you think about the concept PC?

You didn’t have to PP stall switch until Struggle as you could have attacked Donphan, used Endeavor on Snorlax and made the kill. Though idk if the risk is too high for a crit. Are you even allowed to hit your own Pokémon in Kaizo? Oh, iirc this Donphan has Battle Armor. Edit: Nvm he did do it after chat recommended it 25:10 I don’t think Burn was the way to do it, it limited your turns

So why did he try to get himself low with endeavor? Why not use attacks to get donphan low and calc for crits using like muk rock tombs for slow dmg since donphan is giant physical tank and resists ground......im new and all but it seems safer than burn.

I have played this game after you started the nuzlocke. It is very hard, even without nuzlocke. And also, I fought Norman and it was very hard because that espeon is going to throw skill swap again at your pokemon. I found out a simple trick and evolve my shellder which I don't know I can find a water stone until I was fighting Norman about 10 times because I searched google and found out. At last, I remember that my shellder(now Cloyster) has self destruct so I use it to open the fight. And it bust through him like crazy. His defence is so high that slaking couldn't one shot it with a hyper beam. Then, the fight waa very easy. I reccomend you play this because it is very good. (my pokemon levels were about 50 up when I fight norman and I still lose to him like 50 times.)

On my current nuzlocke I lost my kadabra to a one shot from a wild KRICKETUNE.... my shame lol

Couldn't he switch to the dophan on a rest turn, two turns before dying, then endeavor plus superpower, then switch out dophan and another super power, and if he was still alive another superpower (spinda was faster than snorlax, plus on the turn he'd switch donphan, he could put a faster pokemon and just attack with anything, even though two superpowers should be enough). Or am I being dumb, somehow?
