It was supported by the kashmiri king but not by jawaharlal nehru and at that time kashmir was neither part of india or pakistan , But at the same time pakistan govt conducted genocide of bengali hindus especially by raping and torturing women and kids

The word 'azadi' has been associated more with the Kurdish independence movement than Kashmiri. Kurds are the ones who came up with the slogan "jin, jiyan, azadi" (women, life, freedom).

The Slogan that is being chanted by this girl is originally from Kashmir.. It's Urdu slogan that also became very famous in Pakistan due to Kashmir freedom movement.. It has nothing to fo with Kurds.. Furthermore, this Word "Azadi" is a persian word and Urdu (Our national Language) has adopted it from Persian language..Nothing in Middle East is older than Persian and Arabic language... Your language is secondary as our "Urdu" language is which are actually originated from Persian and Arabic..

There’s a long history of Azadi slogans in India. This particular set mirrors those in Jawaharlal Nehru University in New Delhi where the students were declared to be anti-national for protesting against the treatment of Kashmiris. Kashmiris do chant azaadi but the words are different. Educate yourself whoever you are.
