@@tikkibob011 my point is that these students are doing the same thing as people did back then; protesting against a war (look up the Kent state massacre) these students most likely learned about genocide in their classes, and now that they're protesting a current genocide committed by an apartheid state that the U.S themselves is funding yearly. now these students are being arrested for trespassing on the college campus that THEY'RE going to. the u.s house approved another $26 billion for Israel's army, imagine what we could do with that money back home (think of the homeless crisis, inflation, education, etc....)

Demonstrators who engage in civil disobedience - peaceful, but unlawful, activities as a form of protest - are not protected under the First Amendment and can be arrested. If you endanger others while protesting, you can be arrested. A protest that blocks vehicular or pedestrian traffic is illegal without a permit.
