A growing number of protest tents were going up on the UC Berkeley campus Tuesday as Cal students joined the growing wave of pro-Palestinian demonstrations taking place at schools across the country. Jodi Hernandez reports.

What a poor take. By that logic the Native Americans would have every right to violently take back the US mainland by force and expel everyone who lives here. Also, the Holocaust was not perpetrated by Arabs. It was literally EUROPEAN CHRISTIANS that slaughtered 7 million+ Jews during WWII. If Europe is so concerned with the plight of the Jews, why not give up their own land? They simply expropriated land that wasn’t theirs to begin with. The Jews are not the only oppressed group in history, nor are they the most oppressed. A history of genocide perpetrated against one group does NOT give that group license to perpetrate genocide against another. Of the 30000+ dead in Gaza, over 25k are women and children. You want to tell me a bunch of starving women and children are Hamas militants or terrorists? Who is oppressing who?

if this is happening here, than now you know how politicians stand blindly by hate and greed. Israel and Palestinians should give it a rest and just walk away and live in a community in harmony. Students are just students fed by news of the world and have experience but to create havoc for others who want peace. The only time we have this is when the world lashes out in a natural destruction and than only than we will live in harmony and find to coexist.

Enough of this nonsense, they need to let students know that this divisive/racist stuff is unacceptable. They need to clear them out and if they resist the students should get a 2 week suspension, those who aren't students should be charged/fined for trespassing on campus and for interfering. Students who do this a second time should be expelled from the university, period. If the UC president can't make some realistic plan to end this disruptive chaos the regents should fire them and find someone who can.
