NATO nation Hungary is all set redefine its membership status in the U.S.-led military alliance over the deepening support to Ukraine amid Russia's war. Hungarian PM Viktor Orban said military officials and lawyers were working on a new concept where the country would remain a part of NATO but won't be obliged to aid Ukraine. He also took a jibe at the Russian President and West during his interview with state radio. "I do not consider it logical that Russia, which cannot even defeat Ukraine, would all of a sudden come and swallow the Western world whole. The chances of this are extremely slim," he said. As a hungarian I can say, we dont want to leave NATO, but NATO is an alliance of defence. Ukraine is NOT part of NATO so NATO as an alliance cant "defend" Ukraine. It's not what this alliance was made for. Hungary stays NEUTRAL in this conflict but unfortunatelly for some countries it means that we are pro russian...

Personally I can understand Russia, we hungarians have minorities in Ukraine too...I think the russian minorities were the main reason why Russia attacked. Plus Ukraine is a weak point of Russia geographically. I can understand it too.

Orban is the only member of the EU leaders who has any sense and works for his country. All the other leaders lack intelligence and do not work for their countries but for their own personal promotion. That also holds for the leader of NATO and for the EU Commison. So sad for Europe that these leaders are incompetent.
