Good review for when I decide to start selling body parts on the Brazilian black market ;) In all seriousness looks like a banging bit of kit! Good review lad

hahaha yeah it's a cool piece of kit, but I'm still trying to digest that price tag...

Fantastic review as always LD. U ain't lying about the sound of the shifter. Jesus that thing is loud.

Haha thanks man! Yeah I didn’t even adjust any sound levels and that’s the default camera mic and all.

World class review of a world class shifter! Always great to get your real world impressions Laurence, honestly would run with anything you give the blessing to, including this if I didn't have a kid that sleeps at 7pm 😂
@LaurenceDusoswa3 жыл бұрын
hahaha thanks man, that's high praise! It's feedback like that that makes me put so much into these reviews! They say the whole 'sleep' thing sorts itself out at some stage... Right now, the days are long and I can only dream about making some noise in the house again :p

Great review LD! Looks like a masterful piece of kit. This is like you said probably not aimed towards the entry-level and casual sim racers, but more of a premium item. It isn't anything that I would consider buying (price and noise wise), but I can imagine it is just an amazing experience to enjoy Love the sweet mix of B-roll footage with footage of it being used, very enjoyable to watch!
@LaurenceDusoswa3 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Glad you enjoy the mix of footage too. Always difficult to find meaningful shots and not just spam it with in game replays or my face while I actually talk about the product. I'm happy with the structure. As for the product, yeah... It's an incredible experience. the same way it's fun to go on a rollercoaster. But that doesn't mean I'd want to own one in my back garden :p

hahaha and that's just unedited, unadjusted volume from the camera mic, not even from an external mic. I cannot stress how loud it is :p

@@LaurenceDusoswa I'll buy it in my old age, when I can't hear anyways, plus I'll have gathered enough Canadian rubles by then to afford one lol

@LaurenceDusoswa3 жыл бұрын
Yeah I didn't mention the extension here! I did try it and liked it for rally mainly. But all in all, I didn't like the look of it and didn't feel that i needed it.

I purchased their H-pattern recently and found that most of the noise resonates through the rig chassis. I used a piece of dense foam rubber between sifter and mounting point. It’s reduced the noise dramatically. Iv found I don’t really hear it at all now when driving.
@LaurenceDusoswa2 жыл бұрын
Great tip. That's definitely the source of the issue

Great review. Sweet shifter but the noise. Just couldn’t do it. My Pro Sim H pattern is loud enough. I recently got a Jinx and was really unsure about the slack you speak of in the pull. However, it makes more sense and feels more believable. My Aiologs feels great but I couldn’t imagine a real sequential being so precise.
@LaurenceDusoswa3 жыл бұрын
Yeah it’s odd the way you want a sense of precision coupled with that rawness. It’s hard to describe. I think they did a good job here. It’s not perfect. But it’s very good

Since this video was made the shifter is now 1080 euro still expensive but not as bad for an amazing product

Yeah definitely not as bad now

It is certainly an impressive piece of kit, a bit too impressive in a way. It overdoes the simulation aspect imo, and while that is something what some people want to achieve, there are trade offs that come with that, which are price and noise in this case, and both of those things would be hard pills to swallow for most of simracers. While this thing certainly seems to be the benchmark for a sequential shifter, I'd say the "regular" sequential shifters, which cost much, much less, still give you 90% of experience. Overall, the analogy to cars is correct - as nice as bugatti veyron is, actually having one creates a lot of problems unless you can justify dealing with them somehow.
@tomsawyer21122 жыл бұрын
Would you consider anyway soon to review the Pro-sim Locking system, both for their H & S shifters?
@LaurenceDusoswa2 жыл бұрын
I’d like to review them but am not in a position to buy them for review purposes. If you’d like me to review them, the best thing would be to message them to ask them if they want me to review their products.

Hahaha I know exactly what you're saying. It's amazing to get an insight into this world but for most of us, we can use videos like this for some perspective. Many will be watching this, happy that they have invested in their 'cheaper' shifters.
