We always judge people on things we like and our assumptions that other the same which is not. There's some interviews of Morissette amon that telling which kind of songs make her emotional and this song wasn't one of them as she isn't feeling to do so. If you want raw performances by Morissette there's nothing far more rawer than her home sessions. As a loyal Mowienatic for years, I have followed her career and it is the emotion, power and story telling abilities she has that makes her one of the best artists in the world today and our future generation of music. Morissette is the best singer of our times. What makes her so outstanding, apart of her amazing talent and technique in singing, is her outstanding ability in storytelling and to transport emotions. I think that you are the only one. You said it, Cultural difference, Is she released? Yes, not a single note was accidental. But, poke around her total output, look at other expert commentators, and you will find that diagonally opposed to what everyone thinks.

What makes vocal coaches stand out is their knowledge of vocal techniques. But once you give in more to what your preference is rather than be objective, the analysis falls apart. You should do more Morrisette Amon songs to fully understand her as a great artist. Check out her covers of Mariah Carey songs.

From all the other songs I have seen her do I always thought she was very emotional. Also, from what I understand and I'm not the professional you are, but all singers rehearse every move they are going to make when they get on stage.
