It was Phil Collins who talked the others into spending a million dollars on stage lighting etc. This isn't first hand info, I've read it in many places and passing it along to you. Best million anyone's ever spent in the music worlds live performances. I hope PC is feeling better. He's always going to be on my playlist. Iconic performance.

Genesis has been pushing for new stage technology ... they were one of the first to use the colour-changing spotlights and also used "storytelling video displays" as the background. They could do it because their tours were mega-events in the 80s and 90s.

Lee keeps getting booted off Facebook. He has some serious views on stuff and can get into some quite heated discussion. But his stories from tours with everyone he has played with are brilliant. Phil Collins was in Eric Claptons touring band in the 80’s. I got to see them at the NEC near Birmingham UK. They did this. Clapton playing guitar. Hate to say it but, it was the highlight of the night for me.

Phil wrote this song when he and his first wife were divorcing, she was leaving with their 2 boys. He sat down and started writing, has said he didn't even know what some of the lyrics meant but he was filled with despair, anger and pain. He left Genesis for a time and worked on a solo album Face Value to try and bring her back. The arena here where this concert was held 80,000 people. It is epic especially when live.

When you see him now at 69, man he looks his age now. Guessing because he was not a trained singer, the injects for his voice did a toll on his body. It's an era which won't come again. I’ve tried but symohinic/operatic/power metal is not my thing unfortunately. Tried Ghost Love Score.

(off topic) The link in "More" above to the Eskobar channel intro is blocked, at least in the USA. Just thought you'd like to know.

@@dannytheswedishmusixian1513 In the section above where you have links to your Patreon and Discord. The link following those is supposed to be to a video on Eskobar's channel, but it is blocked for me in the USA. I searched KZfaq for Eskobar's channel itself. I found it and had no trouble listening to a couple of your songs. So the channel is fine--just the one link above is a problem. Perhaps replace the www.youtube.com/watch?v=sWo6L video link with one to the channel itself: kzfaq.info

Oh, that’s weird. Have no clue why it’d be blocked. I actually heard one other person say the link was broken but it isn’t for me(and most people). The reason the link is for the song and not the channel and just the song is that it’s from our latest 2020 album and that’s what we want to put on the forefront for now.

You’re Swedish??? You don’t sound like it. Anyway, as for Phil Collins’ performance, that drum break is THE song’s main thing! Absolutely one of my favourite!
