I went fishing this morning and and got hooked up with 2 speckles and lost them both, I was fishing for a spot and croaker and seen the Speckles striking at the bait so I just cut up a croaker and some strips and they hit it and I guess I lost them because there was only one hook, I'm new at this so if anybody's got any tips I appreciate it

Can you use a snap to attach your line to this or do you have to tie-on to it directly with a tight knot

FatPot G yes you can use a snap. As long as it is just a snap and no swivel. Tsunami makes a 25lb wire snap that's perfect and doesn't pull the nose of the bait down.

use a canoe man loop knot. i've caught tarpon up to 120 lbs on that knot , it holds.

I use a cinch knot, keeps the front treble from wrapping the line up. I use a loop knot 99%of the time, except with mirrolures
