I discovered Aux tracks by accident back when I didn't know anything about mixing. I wanted to add an audio track, but I misclicked. This led to an "oh" moment, and I've been using them just like you said ever since.

On some ish you the truth bro you help me take my engineering to a whole another level I started using Cubase to Adobe on some home base Ish but when I opened my own professional studio I wanted to use pro tools because it’s industry standard I literally watched your tutorials for hours taking notes

I routed my drums through a bus to an aux track but when I solo that track I don't hear any sound

If u haven’t figured it out yet. U don’t use an aux, u use an audio track to route that.
