Hi everyone, I hope you enjoyed watching this episode. It was a lot of fun for me to shoot it virtually, even though my one eye was focussed on the WiFi modem. The most special aspect was to see how participants with different viewpoints empathized with each other despite not always agreeing. In this global pandemic, it is comforting to see that though we all have different beliefs, ideologies, and goals, we all want a similar outcome for the greater good of society. I would love to know your thoughts below. Stay safe!

Thank you for another well-crafted video, Jubilee! I personally strongly agree that isolation is important in ultimately helping essential workers and ourselves in the long run but it's interesting to hear the thoughts of the two opposing sides. I'm currently only a third through the video and so far I can see points in both sides of the argument. Always nice to see calm discussions about these topics!

@B3llet Truth Incorrect we are trained on analyzing research from the first day of medical school. It's not uncommon for medical students to have multiple research publications. A significant amount of physicians are at academic institutions where a large component of their training is publishing research papers. The misinformation about medical education is astounding to me.

There was no need for quarantine when there was a disgustingly infectious stomach flu that made you unable to keep liquids down for weeks (much more dangerous). The virus had a lower rate of cases.... @@haileyrafferty2372 The swine flu had a much lower death rate - about 0.02% in comparison to about 2%. It may not seem like much but on a larger scale that could mean hundreds of thousands of people. Also, the swine flu effected mainly younger people, which means their chances of surviving were higher than the older people who are getting the Cornavirus. Besides, this virus is more infectious, as the mean R-nought value (how many people one person would spread it on to) was around 1.46, as a pose to 2-2.5. This also may not seem like a huge difference but if you take this on a larger scale it definitely is. I personally don't think that the whole world should stop because of it. I just think there needs to be a balance between saving lives and the economy. The economy is so important because obviously it's what allows people to survive. However, I find just saying that others are 'sheep' and not taking proper precautions, as well as protesting or something like that isn't right either. All sides need to be taken into consideration, it's not black and white. I think shops, schools, etc. should open slowly and with restriction. I'm from Germany, and I generally support the way the government is handling the situation :)

Okay so you know the difference between the thoracic region, the lumbar region, cervical region, and sacral region along with all of the vertebra? Or how to relieve pressure on said structures to help overall muscle structures that have tension issues that even muscle relaxers can't fix? Wow it's as if anyone can adjust their neck or spine in one go and be perfectly fine. /s/ You realize physical therapists are considered practitioners despite moving muscles and structures- a lot like chiropractors, that if you don't train/move the body a certain way it can improperly heal and not have full range of motion.

I feel like him referring to himself as a doctor, and not mentioning it was because he has a PhD and not an M.D, was kind of misleading considering... he’s not a medical doctor. Dr. Cedric was so patient in explaining his position when he's an absolute hero in what he's doing. It's pretty disrespectful for anyone to be anti-isolation to him when he and other doctors are on the front lines dealing with the consequences of people's selfishness. It is crazy that people have opposed him personally. Yet he still is so open minded to the other side. Mad mad respect.

One of the girls that works for her came to our house the other day to pick up beans, rice, cooking oil, sugar, coffee, dog food, etc because they were down to their last meal. She had been cutting down her meals to half what she usually eats to make sure her daughter and dog wouldn’t go to bed hungry. The food banks are running out and the lines are super long. This is the reality of the shut down for us. It’s easy to be all high up on your horse with isolation when you don’t have to worry about where your next meal is coming from.

@@pn4075 The lockdown is sure to send our nation into a great depression wherein families around are forced out of their homes into the streets. The prospect of homelessness and starvation is a more severe one than a disease with a mortality rate that is nearer to that of the influenza. S. Korea shows us that there is indeed another solution - one wherein we do not have to remain on lockdown for years to come. And I say years to come because this is a coronavirus that will mutate often just as the other coronaviruses do. Why do you think that we don't have a vaccine for the coronaviruses (common colds) that have pestered us for centuries? They mutate far too often for them to be effective! This won't simply go away...even with the introduction of a vaccine a year from now. So, what is it that you propose? That we go into lockdown 6 months out of every year from now on? It is more sensible to heavily prepare for a return from lockdown. We must prioritize the production of tests, of hospital equipment and of PPE (for everyone!!). We can surely afford to do this if we truly prioritize it. With a flattening curve and with summer heat coming upon us, now would be an optimal time to implement S. Korea's model and get ahead of it for good. We could begin to return before fall with all of these items produced in surplus and with spacing restrictions around workplaces and schools. The elderly and the immunocompromised would remain in lockdown until there is sufficient herd immunity. Anybody that wishes to continue hiding away have the option to do so. They, of course, sacrifice their income...but I suppose some people in the country are so lucky to be able to do that for an extended period of time... Lastly, considering the vast number of individuals that die from car accidents in our nation, why have we not disallowed driving in our country? Frankly, unless you're immunocompromised, most of us are more likely to die from a car crash than from acquiring and dying from COVID19.

There was plenty of 'essential ' work to be done with tons of positions opened up all over the country. You just have to be able to look for opportunities and then jump on them. And don't even get me started on the college argument.

@@1MrFu Actually they're correct. Every week what we really know about this virus is changing drastically, models are adjusted daily. Whether we are benefiting patients by putting them on ventilators or not is still an area of contention. Which drugs are effective. One of the best things is we did not break our ICU bed or hospital bed capacity. Currently am a medical student and regularly talk with doctors on the front-lines of this. There is definitely a controversy in the medical community on how restrictive isolation should be. They should've had doctors on both sides rather than a chiropractor for the anti-isolation side.

as somebody who lives in Victoria we have been in Stage 4 lockdown for almost 2 months now. nobody is allowed to go to school (except disability schools), we are not allowed outside before 5am or after 8pm, we can only go outside for 1 hour per day, masks are mandatory and you will be fined if you don't wear one, everyone except essential workers has to stay home, you can't have anybody over to your house at all. (these are just some restriction examples there are plenty more) We got sent into stage 4 when there were only a few hundred cases a day and pretty much all of us accepted it. We are only getting now around 20 cases a day and we're close to opening back up. Now here are americans who are saying that wearing a mask infringes on their "civil rights" while thousands of their fellows are dying everday. wow. just shows the kind of country America is.

My parents got covid. It was traumatising. I don't understand how people can confidently say it's came or that we shouldn't self isolate. At the time, my sister was about 1-2 months old. I am one of 7 siblings. Thankfully, me, my parents and my sibling all lived. There are people who aren't as lucky as me. People need to realise that the world does not revolve around them and they need to think about other people. My family self isolated for two weeks. I felt like I was going insane. I have multiple mental illnesses and self harm and have been suicidal for a while, I was incredibly close to attempting suicide. Now my brother is also experiencing anxiety. If people had followed the same rules, my parents wouldn't have gotten it because they follow all rules. Thank you for reading this.

One of those is an eye doctor. If KZfaq didn't censor them you'd be able to find doctors that aren't pro-quarantine everyone

What really sucks for me is that my family don’t seem too concerned compared to me. They’re fine with going to restaurants, to the beach, and inviting people over for small get-togethers, and I can’t do anything about it but live with it. It’s a very distasteful, helpless feeling.

In a conversation about science and medicine, a chiropractor should not be calling himself a doctor. He didn't go to medical school, he isn't a physician, and he is just trying to put more weight to his words.

@@Jorge.2004 it is fact that chiropractors made their own school so that they can get their own doctorates and be "doctors." Granted I'm ignorant of their actual curriculum to completely discount them but I'd be the first to wager that they have nothing on people with actual doctorates degrees and not just the medical ones.

@@Jorge.2004 Nope actually he's right. Chiropractors do not hold medical degrees, this is a fact that took me 30 seconds to google. Chiropractors calling themselves "Dr" is the same as sociologist who have doctorate degrees and call themselves "Dr". They are not the kind of doctors you go to for pandemic research/statements.

Exactly... and this is coming from an American. This video would literally not exist if Trump enabled mass testing earlier. Pro-isolation individuals even agreed with anti-isolation individuals that the ideal situation is to quarantine the sick only. However, you need mass testing for that to happen. If you can physically prove who is sick and who isn't, then you can just quarantine the sick - WHICH MEANS the economy can re-open. Everything could have relatively gotten back to normal quicker. But nooo we have this debate instead.

Why do people seem to hate America? Even the people here hate America. It’s hard not to but I’d prefer if people wouldn’t assume things about me just because I live here.
