It's great to see a promotion with PROPER training. There are a lot of promotions that "train" and they don't have a clue about proper psychology as well as mechanics. Great Job!

I'm watching these videos so I can practice before and just get a little knowledge when I go to pro wrestling school, if I could give any other tips I would say be the guy that volunteers for everything first even though it seems scary it will keep you ahead of the game and you'll get more knowledge about wrestling. And just think positive good luck to everyone trying to make a living off pro wrestling I Hope to be a WWE Champion one day.

Can we use some pro wrestling moves in self defense?
@nicholasjoestar2749
@nicholasjoestar2749 8 жыл бұрын
+jaguar004 i would say no, since it's coordinated. dont get me wrong, pro wrestling is one of the toughest jobs in the world, but it doesn't really have much to do with self defense. however since it does require lots of athleticism it may give you a more physical edge

@PaulYeagerGuardian
@PaulYeagerGuardian 8 жыл бұрын
+jaguar004 Yes, A lot of pro-wrestling can be used as self defense. The most effective pro-wrestling moves for self-defense are the basics. They don't require strength. ex: if someone try to tackle (or spear) you, you can easily hook your arms around their head and swing them head first into the ground (DDT). If someone throws a punch and you, you can easily side-step and throw your arm-pit over their arm (above the elbow) grab their forearm/wrist, add your bodyweight and they are going down face first (reverse arm bar). Those are just 2 examples that work for anybody. no one's head/neck plus momentum is going to hold your bodyweight. no one's arm is going to do it either. Anytime you are above them, you have leverage and control (No strength required)

Depends on your goals. Weight loss, low calorie diet and cardio. Weight gain, high calorie, high protein and either strongman style training or bodybuilding training, depending on whether you're focused on increasing strength or trying to get a better look.

Keegan Wood I Wouldn't worry about tha till you've got the fundamentals out of the way. Until then get your carbs for energy, protein for muscle repair and cut the bad fats out of your diet. If you're a beginner you'll build muscle doing anything.

How long do you need to be in training before you try to join a promotion?
@S.M.Jean-Mahmoud_Ier
@S.M.Jean-Mahmoud_Ier 7 жыл бұрын
You don't even have this thought when you wrestle for real. Forget about "How much time will it take', it will only take the time *you* will take to master enough shit to do one match. I've for myself spent several monthes learning back bumps up to a proper level. Pure pro wrestling training takes at the very least 5 years to be properly good enough, and it comes along muscle building and cardio training, as well as an amateur wrestling (or marial arts) background if you plan to wrestle for real. And don't try to join a promotion if you're not properly trained, else you'll do a couple shows and that will be it : not only will you embarrass the business and your promoter, but if you do shit at a show, the promoter who hired you will tell to all others how shit you are, and no one will hire you afterwards...
@slauthordraws3363
@slauthordraws3363 7 жыл бұрын
John Mahmud so it depends on the person? I'm not asking the question because I'm unwilling to put the time in, I'm asking because I want to be ready before I go to a promotion
@namelessenigma
@namelessenigma 7 жыл бұрын
+Sarah-Jean Lindsey Yes, it depends - mostly on how fast you learn, your strength and weaknesses, how much time you have to devote to training, etc. I'd say most people only have 2-6 months of training before their first show, though. Also, some training centers let you train for as long as you need (Or as long as both you and your trainer think you need) without a time limit at all which is nice.
@S.M.Jean-Mahmoud_Ier
@S.M.Jean-Mahmoud_Ier 7 жыл бұрын
Yes, it depends on the person. Some people are good at the sport, but are terrible at the show (selling, storytelling, construction, charisma, etc.) while others may have a good reaction with the crowd, yet have a hard time mastering the basic bumps. But I'd say that someone who's taking less than 6 monthes to get ready for a show isn't really ready. Some are good at both, yet have no physique. I'd say that a good solid year is a minimum if the school does respect his business.

+Divinity of X Same. I want to wrestle for the WWE, but I have to train a lot before I tryout when I'm older. I heard that MCW for beginners costs $2000 which is a lot. It's like 2 hours away from me and I'm going to try and go there when I'm 16 next year. Some people have made it to the WWE from there and DX came and Lita came to MCW to visit also. I think it's crazy how much it is, but it should be worth it hopefully right?

@S.M.Jean-Mahmoud_Ier 7 жыл бұрын
You didn't get me. You can get into wrestling through having been a fan of a wrestling product at some point, I agree. But I'm talking about mindsets here : if you become a wrestler yourself, you can no longer have the mindset of a fan : you have to get the mindset of a wrestler, else you'll always be subpar? You have to throw away the wrestler shirts and figures, and become your own product. You can no longer be the fan of another wrestler : you have to get other people to become fans of you. . When you're a real wrestler (not a guy who gets into a pair of trunks avery sunday for a 15 people crowd), you cannot be a fan aswell. You can like a product, but you have to know that it's another product, a rival product. Those who in this video, wear wrestling T-shirts thinking it's a good start are unaware that it actually is a very bad start, because they promote another product than themselves. And as Mohamed Shathir said in original comment : that maes them look unprofessionnal.
