I actually found this vlog more interesting than your usual ones. Usually it's mostly about clubbing and parties and some about work. This blog was a lot more interesting (to me) because the content was more to do with uni and your work and feelings about things. x

Funny how you say this is a boring vlog but it has been one of my favourite Oxford vlogs of yours. It is so relatable!! I’m in 3rd year uni and it’s so refreshing to know everyone isn’t just breezing through, and it takes a lot of mental energy. I’m so pleased you’re proud of yourself and feel worthy of Oxford!! Cos you’re amazing. Well done for taking care of yourself as well as working hard. Well done you xx

Even if you think it's boring Eve, I've still found your vlog really interesting and a great reminder than mental health and self-care should always be a priority. I'm in Year 13 doing four a levels so that's difficult to remember sometimes!

I really struggle with dissociation too (I’m a year 13) and you are absolutely right that the more you focus on it the more it lingers. For me journaling helps and just writing every silly thought down and painting - similar to you with piano. There are lots of grounding exercises you can find online - some that work for me are finding say five blue things, five red things etc in your space or think of five things you can see, four things that you hear, three things you can feel, two things you can smell and then one thing that you’ve done well that day or something along those lines. They don’t always work and there are loads out there but yeah, you are right try to keep your mind off it and you’ll suddenly be hit with the fact that that feeling is not there anymore. You’re amazing and you seem to have such a supportive network of friends so hang in there and you can do this! It’s all temporary remember ✨

Honestly, I LOVE the chill vlog! One I'm not much of a party person myself and seeing just a normal chill week makes me feel really okay with the way I'm handling uni and two it's nice to see what a normal work week looks like! Also, I'm a stress picker, too. It drives my sister up the walls to see my face all scratched up but it also makes bring me tea and coffee so I will chill a little

Eve honestly handing in plans instead of essays when you're having a low week is so so fine!! I know tutors and your own expectations of yourself often make you feel like you can't miss one but in the grand scheme of things your health is more important. Take some time for yourself, reset your sleep and go for some quiet walks. Lmk if you need a diet coke bringing xxxx

Honestly watching yours & Grace Fit UK's videos, I've come to the conclusion that the workload at Oxford just isn't sustainable. I don't understand this constant setting of essays that don't count to your degree, like 2-3 essays a fortnight instead of 2-3 essays a term like other unis. Just seems ridiculous & so hard on your mental health like Grace has confessed. Glad I didn't get in..however, love the vlogs and ate my food while watching :) 8 week terms seem so stupid as well because it makes it so intense for you guys. It sounds like when you wanted to run out of your lecture/were feeling panicky etc that you might be suffering with panic attacks so keep an eye on that xxx

I’ve hit a really bad period for motivation, which is kinda shitty because I have 3 months til GCSEs so I need to be working my arse off atm... watching you really helps because you keep it so real with how much work you’re doing and it’s so nice to dilute my feed because I feel like a lot of ‘studytubers’ post that they’re doing like 9-15 hours a day which is super stressful because I’m doing 2-7 😭
@shannonmarsh27885 жыл бұрын
Don’t worry, you do not need to do 9-15 hours of study a day, that’s ridiculous. That’s like starting at 7am and finishing at 10pm, no way is that actually possible. You’re 2 hours is fine don’t worry ❤️

I studied languages at Bangor many moons ago (2000-2004) and I found it really hard to adapt to the marking system at Uni. An A at A-Level was at least an 85%, so being told by my Uni tutor that my translation was one of the best and my grade was in the high 60’s/low 70’s, was shocking to me, until I realised it equated to a 2:1/1st!

I think watching/listening to music is so so grounding, it's hard to not tune into dissociation but with patience it reduces and I've forgotten about it multiple times throughout each day. It's annoying and scary but harmless and will probably take a while to go fully for you x

I found my A Levels way harder than my degree (graduated in 2012). I always said my degree was like the middle of GCSEs and A Levels. I also found the second year of my degree the hardest out of the three.

@milliehenshaw91135 жыл бұрын
Rude much. There isn't really any 'easiest' course because everyone has different abilities and strong areas/weaknesses. No degree is easy as it requires hard work and effort. You need to be pretty much fluent to do well at A Level in MFL. That requires a lot of work, perhaps more than other A levels do and that itself is hard. There is no need to put others down just because MFL isn't your ideal subject. Let Eve be proud of her achievements and let her enjoy studying something she's passionate about.
