LOL!!!! You're exactly right. The moment we posted this video, one of our friends messaged us saying "hey man...y'all pronounced it wrong the entire time" 🤣 I suppose it just goes to show that we're DEFINITELY not professionals😂 Thank you so much for taking the time to watch our vlog Ian!!

Wow brings back such memories! I lived there in 1968 and 1969. It was way more primitive but still epically beautiful! Thank you for sharing! And by the way the town is pronounced Mehass..

Thank you so much for watching our video Gabrielle!!! We didn't find out how it was pronounced until about two days after we filmed this & almost didn't post the video. But man I'm so glad we ended up doing it. Every time we watch it we're reminded of how much we love Andalusia. It's Trey's favorite part of Europe & now that we're not too far away from January again he's REALLY starting to get the itch to go back!!🤣 I can imagine Mijas was very different back then, but I'd LOVE to go back in time & see how it was. It's truly a gem of Southern Spain & we can't wait to return. Thanks so much again for watching!!!😊

My home was half-way between Fuengirola and Mijas Pueblo. I owned a Boutique selling all hand-made items in the Village of Mijas for seven years. It was wonderful and I miss it a lot. I can see you went to a Restaurant that did not serve Spanish food... There is no "J" sound in the name Mijas... ( pronounce it Mee-has). I lived there seven years and never went to the bullring. Yes, I was known as The Cat rescuer when I lived there and I had 18 cats...

I was in Mijas a few weeks ago. I agree it is beautiful. The Spanish will point out to you it is always pronounced "Meehas" Thank you for sharing

We're so thankful that we got to experience it, and equally thankful that you were able to power through watching the vlog as we continuously mis-pronounced 'Mijas'😅 It's seriously one of the most beautiful places we've ever seen and I can guarantee we'll be back one day hopefully in the not so distant future. Just in case you haven't been told the j in Mijas is pronounced like all Spanish words the J sounds like an h. Jesus is pronounced hesus .....so Mihas

You're absolutely right! We didn't figure that out until after we'd shot the video so we definitely sound goofy. But certainly a learning moment right? 🤣

Wow, beautiful! Been there a couple of times, brings back good memories. Definitely loved your video and all the tips you give for other visitors. You've probably been told by now, but in case you haven't , the Spanish "j" is pronounced as an 'h" 🙂. No biggy, you still did a great job.

You're definitely right. If there's one thing we've learned during our travels, it's learning how to pronounce things BEFORE we film a video😅 Mijas is absolutely stunning though. We can't wait to get back there at some point. Thank you so much for taking the time to watch our video!!!:)
