i noticed that for polar moment of inertia.. the 't', i cant find on any text book. polar moment of inertia appears exactly as shown without the t. where did this come from?

Sir if we go through normal procedure of calculating polar MOI, it gives s in cubic form

Why 12.5 mm is not added or subtracted with the length of weld?

12.5 mm is the starting and stopping length of weld bead which is not considered in calculations

It is clearance for added in any welding length portion
