Since 2020, TRESOC MD Ian Bright has been lending his skills to the CISTAfrica project in Kisumu, Kenya. This is a project to turn an invasive plant - water hyacinth - into a clean cooking fuel - bioethanol. The project has many co-benefits: improved air quality; lower climate emissions; supporting biodiversity as fewer trees are cut for firewood; lower costs for consumers.
