28:34 30:46 easy way... father age is 'x', son age is '45-x' 5 years ago x-5 , 45-x-5 = x-5 , 40-x *5 years ago product of their ages was 4 times father age* So (x-5) (40-x) = 4 (x-5) ((Strike x-5 both sides)) So 40-x = 4 x=36

F-5+S-5 => F+S-10 => 45-10 => 35 ,this is correct format

total age is given as 45. so we have to reduce 5 years because of 5 years ago . since they have given as total age (45 years) we have to reduce 5 years for father as well as son. so final ans will be father+son=35 (before 5 years each) example: consider father age as 35 and son age as 10 father+son=45 5 years ago, father-5 and son-5 (35-5) + (10-5) 30+5=35

It's not like that, currently their of age is F+S = 45 In 5 years ago , each of their age reduces by 5 . Two persons here,so 5+5= 10 This is what we want to reduce from 45 . It becomes 35.Tada

This problem have a confused actually this equation is 4(s-5)+(s-5)=60 4s-20+s-5=60 5s=85 S=17 This way is correct or not pls let me know...
