Thats fascinating! As a kid growing up in 1960s australia & reading english kids books, i always wondered about these "conkers" & what they were & how the game was played. Fabulous to see real conkers & the game in real life action. 😂🤣👌😁

I was in the Marines from Jan’68 to Oct 71. Started of at Cherry Point in nC and got sent to Pendleton in CA. Th base Public Affairs office was in an old brig on the main road. We had a great little ping pong table In the office. Great fun and we came together over that Table Tennis table.

I really miss our van when I see you stop in those beautiful French villages. So motorhome friendly. We never did tolls and stopped at Aires all the time to visit the little towns and took ages to get to Spain. Cave houses are also called troglodytes in France.

Yes we never use tolls or motorwqy always go to little towns so pretty and friendly people and fantastic Aires .wish the UK would do this. France Spain both beautiful.we are in our motorhome in Romania at the moment. Beautiful buildings

The upside about older cars, are the space in the engine, making it possible to fix things yourself. Newer cars, you gotta lift the whole engine out, just to change a light bulb... 😜

In the Uk not only would you have to pay to stay overnight but because we have very few campsites of all kinds especially open all year ones you have to book so far in advance to get a parking spot it’s impossible…we tried to book a campsite recently in Wales it was a beautiful spot with costal views and I kid you not… for a grassy pitch with electric the earliest I could book was October 2023!!!!!

A good way to stop the nuts coming off on your bracket is to put another nut on each bolt so it prevents them ever coming off again 👍

6:50 - I used to watch the Tour de France for its beautiful bird's eye views of the French landscapes. The sceneries you present are breathtaking gorgeous. You are outdoing yourselves with your camera work, and we got a sporty filmed table tennis-match too.

After all the trouble with your van,have you ever thought of replacing, with slightly newer van. Cos I think that I would, ihave found in the past one large repair has lead another o e a few months later on.

We stayed at the park-up in Turquant last month. If you return take a walk on the marked route above the village through the vineyards. We learnt how mushrooms were grown all year round in the caves below the vineyards!

On long journeys my family plays a game - the first person to see some hay yells "HEY", then we look for a dam and yell "DAMN", then public toilets and yell "CRAP". This game can take ages, or no time at all. We are pretty competitive lol

Loved this, stayed at Verteuil sur Charente a few years back sadly not such good weather as you had but at that time I seem to remember you could get electricity by phoning the Mairie & a chap would come & plug you in for a couple of euros, so friendly & we'll set up for motorhomes! Except for the bridge not being paw friendly 🐾 🐾 Tried to stop at Montreuil on the way home this summer but the town was shut off for celebrations Bastille Day which seemed to go on all week everywhere bit like Nov 5 here with all the fireworks which I love but senior dog hates 🎆 so a few noisy & barky evenings! Thanks for bringing back happy memories driving through France, can't wait to get back again. Hope you'll soon be travelling again soon too 🤞 🤞 🤞 for the Vinster! Sue & 🐶 🐶

Sooo beautiful there. I KNEW I wanted to go to France. Bummer, i never did. Guess you have to do it for me. I contacted the youtubers called Tread The Globe. They got parts sent from the U.K. where they are from, to CANADA where they are travelling but broken down. I explained your predicament to them and they replied that they had contacted YOU giving you the parts place info because i told them about you and that you were broken down. How nice! and they don't even know any of us!! I am not even subscribed to them. Guess i should though. Hugs.

Very entertaining vlog again guys some wicked scenery again Sarah the mechanic to the rescue I'm sure those bolts came lose as a result of vinnies pending back axle problem vibrating them lose as it travels along the prop shaft to the front ,that said I to would like to see or purchase a route map of your journey from your selfs to follow when I venture to France and beyond next year loved the out takes at the end very funny hope all has gone well getting a back axle I'm the UK look forward to next week's vlog doggies look well satisfied take care the gowerz of Portsmouth xx ps your conkers nick lol
