My 1st 8S run on the Blackjack. Make sure you have a way to recover this boat if/once you flip it! Or pick a warm day and bring your swim trunks!

Wish it was this FAC (Flat A** Calm) more often. Been windy lately every time we have been up there. Have not been able to do a subsequent run with the batteries all the way forward on 8S. Thanks for watching from across the "pond"!

I had the same problem then I got boats & Bits Trim Tabs. That helped to get 123km/h without flipping on 8S.

Is this a lake? Will saltwater mess up?

This is being run on the Bay of Green Bay, part of Lake Michigan. I believe Horizon says in the manual that salt water can shorten the life of the product, and you should immediately rinse the boat after running. May also void the warranty, but you can check their website

What size do you use? I'm using the recommended 5000 Smart batteries per the manual.

@@MarksAultimateRC man we run 9000mah 150c in this boat. It handles it great, not heat issues until you get around a 50mm prop on it

Adjust your strut position completely down. Than it don’t flip😅👍🏻

Don't know why I hadn't thought about adjusting the trim tabs. Also want to try a run with the batteries completely forward. Might buy some additional battery straps so I have flexabilty from 6s to 8s runs without going through the hassle of moving the straps every time.

Is that an easy thing to do on this boat given it's a straight shaft? How much adjustment can you make assuming the adjustment would be done inside the hull?

@@MarksAultimateRC well I haven't run boats in years but usually adjusting tha strut to center your prop to bottom of sponson,will put the prop half in and half out at top speed.also if angle of prop is aiming up ,it will make the boat nose up. aiming prop down will get boat out on plane.

Do you have this boat? It doesn't look like that is adjustable.

@MarksAultimateRC I do not own that one I have multiple boats that run a strut system similar. Put the boat on a countertop and see if the propeller is up or down pointing . Level or slightly down will help . Try running the entire strut about 3mm above the bottom of the ride surface

You could just learn how to trim your boat And you wouldn’t have any of these problems. Batteries all the way back and tuck the Drive in two degrees.

This was my 1ST RUN ON 8S. Boat ran great on 6S with batteries back, figured moving the batteries forward would have solved that. Don't think you can learn how to trim a boat on one run......
