Interesting hardness tester. Wish I could have seen the ramming, the opening of the mold, and the gating system. Looks like it was filmed by the workers themselves wearing cameras, so that could explain the lack of total coverage. Given that the footage came from the workers, the filming really turned out well. very fascinating video. I love seeing large molds.

I suspect it just isn't 'cast iron' but in fact Spheroidal Graphite iron (SG). It is almost 50 years since I worked for a company that produced electricity generating steam turbines. Amazing to see many of the skills and techniques are still being used. A brilliant video.

Trabalhei na Komatsu Brazil 1974 a 1977 (Shohei Ichi e Iwashigue Tsuyoshi) tratamento térmico. A Komatsu Brazil montou uma fundição na planta de Suzano 😅

That "S" hook on the Lifting chain is VERY DANGEROUS, A Little slack and it will release. Please Replace it.

You are seeing an edited video in a mechanized foundry. There are dirty jobs there also. I am startled at the working condition in Pakistan. Their manual labor produces a salable product for the income of more workers

電気炉に投入する材料がきれいだね。 TP作って湯の成分分析をして硬さ試験もして、日本だと検査成績表を付けるのが当然だったりするからね。

they say they use chemicals to make the sand hard. some foundries do not do that but then the sand can fall out.
