I've seen such brushes on a farm, where the cows scratch their backs with them is very interesting to watch. But I think it can be used not only on the farm, but in many other places as well. Thanks for the interesting and informative video

Para el coche de rodillos .existen varias opciones en zonas de nieve ...una de ellas es uno que circula quitando la nieve entre rodillos ..y con cepillos de ese estilo pero en fuerte puede ser

A solid steel shaft seems an overkill, a pipe with soild ends will do the job well, with a lesser sprung weight to handle.

@@musicfind4020 Definitely not for street sweepers, but wherever they are used a solid steel shaft rather than a pipe is an overkill.

@@SubramaniamLakshminarayanan The one you saw on the video is an industrial component and needs to fit standard bushings or bearings. It's going to be in operation more than 12 hours a day every day all year. The pipe you suggest will not work with the machines due to being weak in torque loading.

@@DirtyRobot You are right from your POV of pipes. There are however, special pipes with greater wall thicknesses and material composition that will serve the purpose better than solid shafts. One example of a pipe is the front fork tubes of a motorycle which is subject to stresses greater than what this brush would be subjected to. If a pipe can work well in a bike, I see no reason why it should not work here. The objective being reduction in sprung weight, easier handling and reduced cost of raw material.

As far as I can see here it's just a cold rolled bar where both ends god turned down, probably cheaper to do it this way then use tubing.. You would have to make both studs, weld them in and turn the OD again of the tubing to get rid of the welds.. Here they just take raw stock, cut it off, turn it both sides, done
