We use to have made in Japan nail clipper/cutter in the eighties and nineties period. They are reasonable cheap but sharp. Today we can’t find Japan nail clipper in our local store but being dominated by lousy China nail clipper. 2 years ago my friends bought these nail clipper direct from Japan, to my surprise there were a lot of good nail clipper sold in Japan at a reasonable price. From that day onward I continue purchase products from Japan through Amazon Japan

手間隙かかって爪きり作ってるんだと思って次の爪きりはここのを買おうと思って 自分の爪きりも日本製だったと思ってみてみたら、ここの会社のやつだった笑 しかも最後に使っていたやつとまったく同じ笑 ４年くらい使ってますが、切れ味が少し落ちましたがまだ現役です！

It just feels so special to have something like the Seki Edge and know how much care and meticulousness was put into making it. It’s intimate in a way as well to see the process from this point of view. I personally thank this channel for producing/sourcing these videos. I’ve been on a binge It has made my day. I wish I could be a part of something similar as a way to earn a living.

I love such little details, like the piece of paper put between the body and the lever while testing, to avoid any scratch marks 😀👍.

We have lots of nail clippers but never really bothered to see where they were made. I have great appreciation for Japanese products and appreciate their craftmanship. Great to see these videos showing the skills, dedication, attention to details, quality and various stages in manufacturing. Generally, a nail clipper lasts for many years. How many of them are recycled, as it is hard to find someone who can sharpen them or places where people can give it back. ??? Also as an idea - how about a machine which can cut 5 fingernails at once and can be used for hands as well legs ? Also that machine can have selection ( someone does not want all 5 nails and can make choice of 1,2,3,4 as well )

I wonder what the last scene would be if they showed a movie about the production of toilet paper :)

米国に住んでいた時は爪切りは日本に一時帰国した時に購入していたくらい、あちらの爪切りは不満足でした。 ただ気をつけないといけないのは米国で国内線で移動する時に手荷物に爪切りを入れておくと刃物だといって没収されます。 規則では爪切りは機内持ち込み可能になっているのですが空港職員に取り上げられてしまいますので米国にお出かけの際は気を付けたほうがよろしいかと。
