She gave him the Brown Scapular, a part of the Carmelite habit. Processions in honor of Our Lady of Mount Carmel are observed in Rome throughout the world. Beginning today, a twelve day celebration through next Sunday, a Roman tradition that dates back to nearly 500 years.
