Showing how to do first and last frames and then fill in the gaps is super helpful to someone new to animation like me. When I was a child I wanted to do animation but didn’t know how. I just got Dreams for fun but am already hooked and have learned so much in the two days it’s been out. Your video just really helped me a lot, thanks, you got a new sub.

For those wondering this is pose to pose animation, it’s great for animating actions. There’s also straight ahead animation which is to do with more organic forms like water, where you just draw each frame one at a time without planning.

@kseniyacher62557 ай бұрын
Thank you! Tell me please How did turn onion skin on? Couldn’t find it
@NerdFuelYT8 ай бұрын
It sounds like you’re using a paper-like screen protector, how big of a difference has it made for your art? I feel like I don’t mind the smoothness of the screen by itself, I actually don’t use a screen protector in general, but I do like the idea of a little more friction. Has it eaten through your pen nubs?
@louenry8 ай бұрын
I’m not the creator of the video, but I use these screen protectors, too! I really liked paperlike, i didn’t really like a dupe I tried (the texture was already gone so much faster on the knock-off than on the paperlike) At first I also thought the smoothness of the screen wasn’t that big of a problem, but it’s so nice to draw on a matte screen like that. I don’t press extremely hard with my pen, but do apply a bit of pressure, and my nibs never looked like the ones I saw from others that were completely destroyed. Mine only slightly change shape on top and for that I bought a multiple pack of cheap nib replacements, and rotate between them if I feel the need to (but they always still worked, it’s just a cosmetic change actually). But it’s really not as bad as other people described to me. I’m actually a big fan of the original paperlike as well, but I only tried one other brand that I didn’t like.

They both have there ups and downs There are things toonsquid has that Procreate dreams doesn’t And many things procreate dreams has that toonsquid doesn’t

I’d say wait its planning on adding features. Lemme repeat, planning. Some of which are essential like lasso tool. So its in its very early stages. Wait.

Easy way to test if you’re asking before you buy Dreams is just to make an animation in procreate! It should be roughly the same file size, so you’ll have an idea of how bad it’ll hit your storage

You can squish and squash the selected image if you grab the element on the top or then bottom! Id recommend watching a tutorial but its a really neat feature and easy to use!
