oh the stage design for this concert was absolutely nuts! they went all in! you should see the whole thing the stage production and design rly outdid themselves

This concert was just this past Saturday, in Busan, South Korea. It was to support Busan's bid to host the 2030 World Expo. Also, they announced early this morning that the boys are all going to be enlisting in the military and they won't be back as BTS until 2025.

As for BTS concert structure, I’ve always found it interesting how they tend to end them. Most performances that I’ve seen or heard of, likes to end things with a bang but BTS doesn’t really do that often. They have a huge showstopper ALMOST at the end but then they “end” the concert only to comeback with a more fun/laid back section and then officially end with something heartfelt. Even at lollapalooza, I remember thinking Hobi ended his set in such a BTS way, not with Arson or Chicken Noodle Soup (2nd to last song)but with Future. I read somewhere (I’ll see if I can find the article) mentioning how BTS didn’t end their show big but abrupt, instead they ease you into the goodbye and leave a warm feeling.

This whole concert was a message to ARMY to wait for them,love and trust them no matter what happened in the future and message to their government that they (BTS) are not waiting for their decision about military service. These are the first two songs of last Saturday's performance. An estimated 50+ million tried to stream this concert. All three platforms crashed about 20 minutes in. Only a few spurts visible after that. They were definitely not prepared. J-Hope 's hair had added artificial blond pieces but at Lollapalooza, there were dark pieces added in. Not sure what they are called, lol. Everyone loves his hair longer. Same with the others growing theirs. Thanks for reacting!!!

The arrangement for Mic Drop was the original one. It is 95% korean, while the Steve Aoki remix has more english to it and the arrangement is quite different. The concert was FREE. In person atrendance reached 52K, 2k attendance for the live play in SK too, 49M live viewers in weverse, 20M on Naver and maybe at least another 5-10M on Zepeto, JTBC and illegal streaming since weverse and naver kept on crashing. This concert was made for Busan's bid for World Expo 2030. Hybe (including sponsors) paid for everything. They have a huge chunk of control with their production with the help of their label. In bts' case, it's an advantage they arw given more freedom and control with their career beginning of their career. So trust and confidence between bts & label are veey evident. The comcert was 2 hours, last oct 15, starred 5pm KST. They started with Mic Drop, Run BTS, and Run as starters. The stage was huge and long. I believe they performed 19 songs if I'm not mistaken. I recommed you watch the full concert. 🫰🏻

Choreo was off the charts! I love how the members stepped out when their names were called in Hobi’s verse. I was waiting on them performing this song! I also like the sample from the Batman theme song from the 1960s series. Awesome!

I love it when there’s live music too, it just hits different. They did such a great job with this concert. The song selection, the transitions, etc was fantastic! They used the same music director that Hobi worked with for Lollapalooza and I think it shows.

Those were the first 2 songs of the concert. Then they did Run and, those of us watching on Weverse had a terrible surprise - Weverse crashed part way through Run. Ugh. Couldn't get back in except for a few seconds here and there. Hoping BangtanTV uploads this whole concert in various parts, as well as the dance practice for Run BTS that Tae uploaded on his Instagram. Also, this WAS their last concert at least until 2025. Not sure you heard but there was an announcement this morning (US time) by Hybe/Big Hit that BTS, starting with Jin, will be enlisting in the military. Jin will begin the enlistment process after a solo song/collab comes out at end of October. The others will follow but we don't have a set schedule. I believe they will each enlist as they finish their solo albums. So, that could mean J-Hope is next since he already did his; however, he may be later if he is helping some of the other members with their solo albums. Not sure. Guess we will see. So, time will tell. Oh, one other note of interest, Jin had not been feeling well, had no voice until about 10 minutes before the concert. He was on IV's and other meds. Somehow he absolutely nailed all his parts throughout the event. I hope he is doing okay afterwards.

First 2 songs of the show. The long shot version is better to see the dancing. The other features close ups. You can also feel what it was like live better in this one. I say watch both, you and I think alike and I loved them both. And the live band kicks ass!!!!!! Jin had a cold and could barely talk before the concert. 😘💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

So (to answer your question) this concert was held in BUSAN as promotion for the city's bid to hold the World Expo in 2030. I won't go into the details (good or bad) about how it was organized but in the end BTS went there with the mindset of having a FREE concert for ARMY and ARMY went there to see BTS (all other agendas aside). Also you were better off getting sleep considering Weverse and Vlive kept crashing and ARMY's spent most of their time finding stable streams to watch the concert from. I agree about the 'Pastels'. I have never been a fan of pastel colors (even if it's BTS wearing them). I prefer solid primary colors and Black is always a winner to me when it comes to fashion. HYBE announced that Jin will be going into the military by the end of this year and also stated that the whole group should be performing together again sometime in 2025 which implies that all of them will complete their enlistment duties by that time. My personal opinion on this is South Korea will probably see a sharp economic drop while military enlistment will see a sharp rise because if you don't think that Korean ARMY (male or female) won't start enlisting - then you don't know ARMY.

They have all dark almost black, only Jimin have light brown, and Hobi had blond highlights but it was only for concert like detachable thing, he had something similar for Fake love performances with ash purple. It was great start for sure, the best way to give people energy from begining. They always start with the hype songs with choreo, the hardest, and go to half with upbeat, then some like song that are middle energy are hype but chill too (?) that don't have usually choreo or mix choreo, no choreo, choreo, etc... and they go with slover and emotional at end... They change outfits usually 3-4 times, on this concert only two, and usually first outfits are more edgy or more classy, hmm then are fun outfits then bts merch outfits... In this concert was this black clothes and then next were jeans white shirts and purple dress jackets that are merch.... They looked cute. Do yeah everything for every fan, some hard looks some cute looks ;)

I binged most of your bts reactions in the last few days just to get to this specific reaction hahaha i reaaaaally love this performance! The whole show has this kind of instrumental and i gotta say, mic drop, fire, idol and all of those hype songs with live drums and guitars sound absolutely amazing. I cried a little when i watched the concert because i was so overwhelmed by the quality of the music (let's be honest, i probably cried a little because of the enlistment thing as well; i discovered bts just earlier this year and i feel like i missed out on so much, and now they're going away for longer than i've even known them... i'll get over it eventually but it hit me pretty hard when i was told about it). Anyways, i loved your series of reaction! I always enjoy watching people fall in love with them and following your journey to becoming an army was very entertaining:) you also have a stupid amount of knowledge on music and other random stuff which, as a fellow nerd, i very much vibe with.

Okay. Jin is very flexible, he sometimes gets injured, and he injured one finger and it needed repair before the Grammys. Remember he performed most of the Grammy Butter seated, wearing a mitt over one hand. I'm going to guess the reason he's wearing a headset mic is his hand is still healing from that surgery. It does take quite a few months for that kind of surgery to fully heal. Also, he had a very sore throat for days before the show, and it would be easier for him to dance if he did not also have to manage a hand mic. Also by now you've seen last night's announcement about them doing their military service, and Jin is up first, and I imagine the emotional pressure on him is huge. Also he will be doing a release of some solo material before he joins the SK army. So those are my thoughts on Jin and the headset mic. About the shape of the stage, in this venue with an unpaid-tickets audience, all of whom are standees, there was more than the normal risk of people rushing the stage and getting injured. Before the show, V posted about that. And indeed, early in the show, somebody was injured. One of the members heard on their in-ears that the performance managers changed the action for Run to not move outward along the stage as originally planned, as they did not want more audience to rush toward the stage. The original concert venue was adjacent to the beach, and the audience size was going to be double what they accommodated in the stadium. The main reason the venue was moved to the stadium was worry about audience safety. About preferred outfit styles, it always surprises me when people care a lot about that, since one of the super most fantastic things about BTS is that they are adventurous and they break rules in gentle ways, and that's part of the fun of who they are. And if we're not open to that, aren't we rejecting some of what BTS is about? As for the rest of your questions, you're a smart guy, and Google is at your fingertips. If you care about BTS for real for real, you're going to look that stuff up. Oh, one more point. Imagine they didn't change their fits during a concert. Their clothing would probably end up weighing 25 lb of sweat for each guy. Imagine how that would look. I love how everyone is saying his mic is broke. Poor Jin's mic ... it lost some of its crystals but the mic itself is fine. It just needed some crystal repair. It was best that you went ahead and slept because I stayed up and well Weverse crashed and crashed hard didn't even get to the 2nd song (which as RunBTS) before they crashed. Seems someone somewhere had a fire and well BAD WEVERSE. It was best to sleep as you did.

Oh the RUN choreo!!!!! It´s another level, if that is possible with BTS. Extraordinary! That entrance is legendary. Lookin sleek. So many details in this choreos. Did you checked Lolapalooza Hobi´s concert? This was in Busan for promoting the city. Jin posted a photo that his bling bling mic was damaged, haha. I don´t know if that is why. The bedazzling came out and he said he was heart broken, hehehe. Their hair is loooong. They look amazing. They are going to the military so I think they are enjoying their hair.

About Jin's mic....a fan cam caught one part of Run BTS choreo where Jin quickly took Jimin's mic because Jimin needed both hands for that part of the choreo.

These two songs were in fact the two opening numbers.

Jin recently posted a pic of his mic before the concert because the mic was basically scratched (it's the shining pink mic with the little diamonds on it), i think his mic might be getting repaired or something and that why he has a headset, or maybe it's because he hurt his hand a few months ago and had surgery for it. (That's why in their latest concert and in the Grammy performance he wasn't dancing with the other)

Yes, Jin is the only one with a headset. Im assuming something was wrong With his mic. He suddenly had the hand held a few songs in, right in the middle of song. It could have also just been for easy of the choreography.

Jin injured and had surgery on his hand shortly before the Las Vegas concert in April. Perhaps holding a mic during these high intensity performances is still difficult and so he wears a headset? I'm just speculating......

This concert was in busan they want to have the world expo there in 2030 so bts did this concert to promote Busan. Busan is also the home town of jk and jimin. This is the beginning of the concert.

I will add my answer about Jin's headset mic - choreo on his solo at the end of Mic Drop requires both hands crisscrossing out and away from his face - so either the motion would have to be one-handed and less effective, or sound pickup would disappear. Probably also valid that during intense choreo, his hand might be more strained with a handheld mic.

This is a FREE Concert nominated by the Ministry to hv them as embassador for the World Expo 2030. It is to bid World Expo 2030 to be held in Busan, Korea. The stage is awesome with huge PROOF logo n fireworks back n front of stage. It was epic n awesome. Imagine a huge superstar performed FREE for more than 1 hour .. BTS is famous for GIVING especially to their ARMY.

Jin recently posted a picture of his pink mic which showed the damage to it and that the crystals were coming off....so perhaps he is wearing the head set becasue of that? I am not sure that is just what came to mind when you asked. I didn't notice until after the concert when I saw these videos the first time so I am not sure if he was only wearing it the whole concert or had some other mic he was using. I did wonder if they have all been growing their hair because they know it will have to be cut short soon for military so they are growing it while they can. Hobi cut his into the mullet for the concert so no one had seen it before.
