This was released in November, 2018. Jennie was the first BP member to release a solo song. She performed “SOLO”, for the first time before its official release date, on their first ever Blackpink Seoul Concert and we were grateful for the fans that went to the concert for not leaking video/audio recordings of the Solo performance before it was officially released on Korean music platforms (so that it won’t affect the song’s chart performance once it gets released). Thankfully, the general public (in Korea) liked SOLO so much so that it went straight to the top of every Korean music charts on the day it debuted. Jennie won many awards for SOLO despite the fact that she had little promotions. Up to this day, the song is still being played on many Korean TV shows, Jennie being mentioned as well… and the song is still also being covered or performed by many other KPOP idols. On the other hand, the moment it was announced that Jennie would be releasing a solo single, that’s when the ‘blinks’ fandom showed their true colors. LOL. I won’t EVER forget how they didn’t support it mainly because it wasn’t their fave. Majority of the fans, I’d say 90% of the ‘blink’ fandom, turned their backs on Jennie. They didn’t even hide that they hated the fact that it was Jennie that was chosen to debut first as a solo. These blinks sabotaged every SOLO announcement articles, every SOLO teaser photos and videos.. even until the day SOLO officially debuted… and it never ended there. Up until today, Jennie still gets hated for literally every.little.thing… even just for breathing. I feel so so bad and sorry for her, especially as her fan who saw her grow up (from being a 14 year old trainee to finally debuting as BLACKPINK) for all the horrible things she went through just because she was the first BP member to make her solo debut. Jennie didn’t deserve all of it. She NEVER deserved any of it. That is why I have so much hatred for the ‘blink’ fandom. NONE of them would ever understand or feel what Jennie and her fans went through that time and we are still defending her and fighting against her antis (mostly consist of deranged blinks and fans of other BP members) because they are always in Jennie’s and our business whenever we celebrate something about Jennie (like for example, with her newest brand deal with Porsche - they gave Jennie a personalized Porsche car designed by Jennie herself - due to this deal, Porsche is one of the sponsors for BLACKPINK’s upcoming BORN PINK Concert). Sorry for this long post. I just wanted to give you additional information as to why Jennie’s first solo song, “SOLO”, was the most controversial yet successful solo debut of any Blackpink member (though Jisoo hasn’t released hers yet). Anyway, thank you for reacting to JENNIE’s SOLO! I hope to see your reaction again when her next solo song comes out (hopefully it won’t just be one song again, she deserves a full album because seriously, it’s been 4 years since this song😭)

If I tell u while Rosé was SO happy during her solo era and Lisa too(sort of) Jennie was sad during her solo era, her intire solo era was just people hating on her, some "fans" didnt accept the fact she was the 1st member to have a solo AND she became the most HATED kpop idol in 2018/2019, Actually Suli was the most hated one but she commited suic1de and then Jennie became the most HATED one, and she still in the top, she recieved death threats, hate comments, and was even told to leave BP by the own "fandom", 2018 was a tough era to her, she wasnt good on stage kinda down and not dancing that much and people started to call her Lazy, and the bad attitude scandal, YG princess scandal, Lazy scandal, all at once came out Jisoo once said "you might know Jennie as a someone that doesnt care about hate but I caught her crying in the middle of night hugging Kuma in her room(Kuma is her dog)" or something like this I dont remember when she said this tho i just saw fans commenting this, BUT if u wanna know more, here the video: Jennie is not okay and we should be worried (in this video we didnt know what was happening to her and why she was being "Lazy" this video actually only shows her down and not informative) these ones are like documentaries about her: Behind her smile Jennie, Jennie the villan of kpop This one kinda informative: Let's talk about Jennie's mistreatment A mistreatment from her company and own fandom(shows some issues, its kinda off tbh but ok)also the vidoe: The truth behind Jennie lazy scandal(the truth revealed) doing these videos on your own u will see how some "fans" and antis treat her in her solo era, anyways this song has a remix a stage on The Show! Oh no. You found Blackpink. Yesterday was Jimin's birthday and on 15th BTS having the biggest free concert in Busan. A 100k tickets was sold out in 54 seconds. 500k people were still waitimg in queue. So they have live play in Busan beach and live streaming for 18 million viewers. Blackpink supposedly biggest girl group right now hasnt sold out most venues , even small venues, in their upcoming tour. They still playing in 4th generation kpop group size venues. Twice another 3rd gen girl grouo are more popular locally and do lot better in filling venues. BP do well digitally because unlike BTS and Twice and most big popular kpop groups they have just 30 mv since their debut in 2016. Watch BP live stages gets worse. Sorry
