Regine sounds 10x better when you hear her live in person. Her voice sounds fuller and even more powerful. Her voice is still on the brighter side, but not shrill sounding at all like you sometimes hear here. Her voice is truly breathtaking in person. I will never forget the very first time I heard her sing live. I was awestruck the whole time. She's truly one of the greatest.

I remember watching Regine in a grand coliseum and as soon as she sing, her voice filled the place overpowering even the orchestra. I can imagine how more amazing she was on her prime days when she was a lot younger. Still a great singer.

I’m her prime she is untouchable, sold out concert, and that concert is on the month of November until December every week, box office queen in her movies, tv host. I watch her singing in live 2x....when i was 18 yrs old , she was promoting her movie and 2nd time is still promoting her movie and she sing TILL I MET YOU EFFORTLESSLY...The best voice that ive heard in my entire life....

Regine performed this last 2003. The title of her concert was "SONGBIRD SINGS STREISAND" It's a total of 12 concert shows that started from Nov 14 till Dec 20, 2003 Regine was only 33 years old. Her full lyric soprano voice, this was also the peak of her prime

🍩🎃 Yup, Regine IS the original, Queen belter, Asia's Songbird, married to singer, composer, manager-producer Ogie Alcasid. Both are fantastic singers. Maybe you can do a collab with the couple and the artists they manage, someday. Nice & fun review. Good to see your young interns/associates once in a while peeping in the background, LOL🤣. regine velasquez is not a musical/theater actress, however, she knows how to express emotions when she sings. she knows how to interpret songs and project the right emotions. she's an award-winning tv and movie actress. she's called Asia's Songbird when she won the grand prize at the Asia-Pacific Singing Contest in 1989. she has reigned the music industry as the best female singer in the Philippines for at least 3 decades since the mid-1980s.

The composer of this song, the late Legendary Michel Legrand made this Music for the movie YENTYL starring Barbara Streisand, held a concert here in the Philippines on February 14, 2003, and sang this song with Regine. He was so impressed by her singing prowess. This video is a classic. It's too bad that the recording equipment then was analog. The video was not as advanced yet compared to today..

Try listening to "Tu" her Spanish rendition of her English song "You". Another performance I highly recommend is "Till I Met You ", where she's accompanied in acoustic guitar by Mr. Rick Mercado.

Honestly the un-remastered version sounds better. There's an odd sharpness to this version. There are parts of her vocals you can't hear here particularly the fullness of her vocals when she does a Barbara song. You also can't hear the orchestra here, instead you hear some added crowd cheer. One of the things that make Regine great is her ability to equalize with the volume of the orchestra, not be under it or louder but on par. In the un-remastered version you could clearly hear the letter Y diphthong in the end but here it's almost like she said "Fla" at the end.

You should watch her sing with 98 Degrees when they guested in the now defunct Sunday musical show SOP in the early 20s. I remember wondering how come I could barely hear Nick Lachey when they sang together with Regine that time. Regine’s voice easily overpowered Nick’s that you almost can not hear him. Only in her recent interview a few years ago (2019 I think) where she said she found Nick Lachey super arrogant (but the rest of the members were cool she said) during their rehearsal that she decided to overpower him in their live performance. So she really intended to do that to Nick Lachey😂. Maybe Jessica Simpson was quite right about Nick Lachey, her ex-husband, being an ass after all.😂
