before he was in SB he was with a hip hop group ( it still shows in his early beginnings with SB19) he said he has to conform with the group so it wasn't so apparent with the way he presents himself as they went on he was more quiet ...tis is the true Felip I think...... btw check for yourself his PARCINQ magazine feature Rebel Heart & his Straydogs live performance in Eat Bulaga ...thanks for supporting Felip....

Felip’s kind of music is so catchy and his aura’s so appealing to casuals who are not familiar with SB. We know that not everyone is into SB music which is pop. But when casuals hear Felip music, they easily enjoy it and became curious about him and where he’s from, hence discovering the group.❤

If you watch Felip’s interviews especially the one for Bulan with MYX, he tries to articulate there what he sees are the differences between Felip and Ken. It’s an interesting view on his own understanding of his craft away from his group and how he can still meld into the group.

I think it is the time and budget the reason the MV is lower budgeted. But as a fan we understand. Felip uses his own money he gets from SB19 to produce his music/MVs/clothing line so he has to evenly divide his earnings to produce all of these. But still, the MV of Stray Dogs to me is still great.

And also, the other members of SB19 are scheduled to release their solo works so Felip is wrapping up his promotion of his EP so the other member can start their solo release before the groups’ comeback. We are all excited!

He performed all his songs in the EP + PALAYO (audience demand) in his live performance in AYALA MALL and man, you can see how fired up he is and having fun at the same time! I would really love for you to see him perform them live. Thank you for always reacting to SB19 and their solos. Josh is also coming up with his solo soon and their individual logos are hot as hell, me thinking to have them tattooed once all 5 of them got their logos all up.

Philippine Hip Hop developed very differently from South Korea. Its starts and roots are deep because of how intertwined the US and the Philippines are historically even before 1898. Also the musical foundations laid were different. Hip hop and rap was already part of Philippine society at least a decade before. Rapper's Delight had a parody locally released in vinyl in 1980. Although it is touted that Francis Magalona released the first rap album Yo! in 1990, He has been rapping on TV since 1988. It's an acceptable form of art and loved by the mainstream audience. All that history is what makes a lot of Philippine artists connect easily with hip hop culture. Then add that layer of gritty Philippine street life and you get Philippine Urban Culture. I phrased it that way because it has grown and evolved into an entity of its own imo.

I see you guys are so into our Filipino music talents. Seeing you have previously reacted to EZ Mil, you may want to see his performance during the Filipino night NBA halftime show. Or if you want to delve into more Ppop and rich regional cultural talents we have, try to find the Chavacano song of Maldita entitled Porque, then you have to watch the cover version made by Alamat, they have an MV for it. While we patiently wait for SB19 to come out with their newer songs too and as we enjoy Felip's new releases. Have a nice day!

yeah, I totally agree with you, straydog totally sounds like DMX. Felip was amazing in doing that nice delivery like DMX. (r.i.p to him) :) but yes, it is very reminiscent of Where the Hood At and We in Here, thanks for mentioning that. :)

I love how you mentioned Jaden Smith because he is one of Felip's inspirations as well. And as a huge fan of both Felip and Jaden, this MV also reminded me a bit of the MV of Ghost by Jaden wherein it was also shot in Japan (just the aesthetics but not the concept). Initially, I was expecting he would also take inspo from that MV (who knows maybe he did) but Felip did his own differently and I love that for him. By the way, this MV is not edited by Felip. It's edited and produced by Chapters PH, the same team that produced his other two MV's, Bulan and Palayo.

I've been a fan for quite some time and I've seen how others tried to bring him down on multiple occasions. Spreading fake news, nitpicking everything he does. Out of all the members, he gets criticized the most inside the fandom but here he is. The first SB19 member to have a successful solo music career.

Felip did not edit his MV, although he did edit this one Straydog teaser video that’s on his IG. Same, Felip’s new hair actually reminded me of Jaden. Thanks for appreciating Felip. He’s naturally a swagger and I believe it came from his Hip Hop roots.

Felip low rapping style is a reminiscent of Jaden Smith, minus the laziness sound. I'm glad we're getting well made songs here in ph. Cause usually things are great but a notch lower on quality, including MVs. Idk maybe it's a budget thing.
