I've never seen an artist as real as SB19 in the entertainment industry. It's not that everyone else is faking it but more like most artists are just so cautious about themselves. There is always something to hold them back, and they must build a certain image that appeals to people. The more you get to know Sb19 the more you'll realize what sets them different from the others, their personality shines more cuz they're just being themselves. What you see is what you get.

Josh used to always represent the group and answer interviews especially local interviews, so it's very nice and refreshing for Pablo to be talkative at interviews and share his thought process.

I really love this group. I have never had a boy group that I Stan this much. SB19 deserves everything

Most fans of SB19 do appreciate how talented and passionate the members are. A group who creates their own songs, choreographs their own dances, directs their mvs and concerts is extraordinary. Then people like me who start watching interviews, vlogs fell hard. Fans have become quite supportive of their endeavors because of their dreams, honesty and determination. Pls do react to The Juans' interview. Pablo's college degree is Bachelor of Arts in English so he is quite comfortable using it. Josh is a different story. He is quite amazing on how he has come out of his challenging life when he was young to become 1/5 of the PPop Kings. You would see this in the interview with The Juans. Finally its done. I think Josh and Pablo have the strongest personalities probably because Pablo is the leader and Josh is the eldest member. Ken is the most shy member, we'll I've see many tiktok clips showing his awkwardness especially during their early days. Justin always has a corny joke with him. Stell is the comedian. He talks a lot and most of his fans were actually the moms and grannies because of his humor. My mom loves Stell btw. Haha.

one of the reasons why I'm supporting these guys is because of how real and transparent they can get whenever they do interviews like this. that's where you'll know how different their personalities are and I think that's why a lot of people love and appreciates them. Also because of how genuine they are both as an artist and as an individual. the genuine love and passion that they have to what they are doing is something worth admiring. the genuine love that they have for their fans is on a different level too. that I think is the reason why they're different from other groups out there. they're just so SO pure. worth stanning. worth loving.

You're right about their album concepts. They don't really talk about their future albums coz everytime before they release an album, they(especially Justin, who is the visual director) love to tease their fans through short clips like an image or a symbol etc. and fans love to guess what the album's title and what it is all about. It somehow became as one of the interactions between SB19 and A'tin.

One of the reasons that made me so drawn to them is their humbleness and transparency. They always made us feel that they’re also human and still reachable. SB19 is a very admirable group in this entire universe. ✨

Yes, AUTHENTIC is a spot on description of SB19. If you can go further into their vlogs on their official channel, they upload raw videos where you could see them in training clothes, no make up, they even post their practices, voice lives with voice cracks, out of tune, and all. Would you even believe that Stell once had a tiktok livestream where he showed his broken front tooth? And he went to several interviews (both online and face to face) with that broken front tooth. They swear on cam and post drunk videos, etc. That's the realest you can get from these people. They're never afraid to show who they really are. Something you would never see in any pop group, at least in Asia. That's why people love them because, besides the enormous talent that they have, they're very relatable.

SB19 once did a livestream on FB way before they got viral. Fans who watch that video now cry because that livestream only had 10 viewers and the boys were still happy and giving it their everything, doing stunts and all--just to entertain 10 viewers. For me, I will always thank those 10 viewers.

I've watched this interview so many times yet I'm still amazed at how Pablo speaks and answered questions. Of how these boys show their true selves and show how grounded they are..

Pablo always has the pressure to lead the group in these kinds of interviews. You can see how they look at Pablo when they want him to answer. They are still not yet used to international interviews, but with local interviews, they are much more comfortable and can throw more jokes. :D

Pablo literally spoiled the whole Trilogy EP & Justin basically got so stressed since he's the one doing the Creative stuff like the Album Cover & Pablo just casually spoiled it. Justin also love to tease the fans with some Easter eggs & usually puts clues on their MVs for their next song which the fans loves to participate in finding or do some theories. 😅😅😅 PS. Before the pandemic, their very first solo concert sold out in 3 minutes and that was the biggest venue in Metro Manila, the big dome as we call it… unfortunately it was cancelled as the Pandemic came.

One thing that wasn't revealed in this interview is that the boys invest in themselves (this was revealed during a wallet raid by an entertainment reporter's vlog). They didn't want to just settle for low budget music videos for their Pagsibol EP so they used their own money. Their management company is small and doesn't really have many connections in the Philippines. They didn't let that stop them and they took control of their destiny. Stell used the analogy of wanting to eat a certain food like adobo. You can make it reality by actually cooking it yourself. If not yourself, then who? They didn't want to wait for anyone else to make it happen for them. The Philippines had a strict lockdown (I believe their original manager and trainer had to go back to z Korea) and the boys found ways and were resourceful enough to plan, create, and record an EP (Pablo collaborated with a Filipino-Canadian via Zoom and chat to produce 5 out of the 6 tracks of Pagsibol). They're such go-getters.

Even u dont ask them to elaborate things, they can talk spontaneously anything u want to know about them. About their journey, their goals, their dreams etc. They're so talented, smart, witty, humble, funny, cute and theyre so I handsome. Each of them have unique personality, Pablo is the Leader(the genius lyricyst of all their songs) , Josh known to be the Boss (the eldest shld be respected, he also has a strong personality mostly he stand and speak for his group), Stell is the wittiest (they call him as their happy pill) he is funny and can be a host of the party. Ken is a shy type but a straight forward guy (basher cud be burn). Justin is their cutie maknae who always make a corny joke.

Funny that they said their English has an expiration limit of 3 hours! They speak quite well and shouldn’t feel bad about tenses or pronunciations because even native English speakers have different ways or regional pronunciations. You can hear that their English vocabulary is quite extensive. To speak a language fluently, one must think or even dream in that language. They are obviously thinking in their first language and saying it in a second language which is a mental gymnastic! Best of all, they are communicating their thoughts candidly, humbly and sincerely. Rooting for these guys to GO UP even farther!

If you notice, Pablo is right, Filipinos second language is English (we have english subjects in school from elementary to college) because English is the universal language so we need to learn it. Also, that's why we always put comments to your videos about SB19 because we understand what you're saying and how you love the boys so much. We really love SB19 because they're our pride, they're the best in everything that they do. Thank you for always featuring them on your videos, it means a lot.

I agree with the other commenters that the KwentoJuan podcast episodes with SB19 are a must-watch for new A'Tin as well as anyone who wants to learn more about the boys. But I also recommend watching Josh's vlog "My Painful Experiences Before SB19" before or right after the KwentoJuan episodes. This was released a few weeks before their interview with The Juans, so he didn't really provide a lot of details on his life during the interview because he already outlined everthing in his vlog. I find his story really inspiring; I rewatch this vlog whenever I feel down since it gives me hope and motivation to continue. 💙

The group has definitely done pre-opening and opening acts before they became headliners and sold-out concert kings. As Pablo mentioned, it seems the pandemic has propelled their career faster and higher. The did several virtual concerts which sold out in a few days during the pandemic. Also, Ken used to be the spoiler but Pablo has been the Spoiler King since Pagsibol. 😂 😂 😂 Btw, SB19 won four Wish Awards and Felip won 2 for Palayo and Bulan

I always like when Pablo talks when their being interviewed. He seems to have much depth and maturity in him. He's more like of an enlightened individual. I'm thinking maybe that's why his compositions always sends messages of hope and positivities. I suggest for you to watch their KuwentoJuan interview ep. 5 & 6. They're friends with the guys and they shared more of themselves with them.

they let pablo speak when answers need to have a unified front or when it involves a process he handles, and they do usually give the mic to him when asked about the album, or when they have to answer in english because he's more comfortable speaking it than the rest of them 😆. but he does get tired during english interviews, and when they do junkets, he gets loopy and his answers would go way off, so josh's kind of the wingman. like zach, it actually shows when pablo's tired. i mean, he's not only loopy, he gets a bit cranky 😆 not at the interviewer, just in general. like a toddler who's just woken up kinda cranky or people before coffee in the morning cranky. so he's a bit snappy with the members. they do get animated when the interview allows. they did one interview with rolling stone last year, and it was 12am in the philippines. it was one of the last interviews for their pagsibol junket, and pablo wasn't picking up the questions well 😅 so some of the members do step up on those occasions and give him hell for it live, especially stell. 😆 stell's pretty witty, and he does try to be as witty as he could be in english interviews. justin's kind of quiet when the interview throws serious questions and he does answer when he's asked, but when the interview allows, he's a savage kid, and he likes to make dad jokes. ken rarely speaks unless (1) he's asked (2) he's very comfortable with the interviewer and (3) when he's on his own. he does turn up sometimes, like in the rolling stone interview. he refuses to speak, he said, because he tends to spoil things in the pipeline, and sometimes he says things in a way that aren't, like, status quo. just the way he says things. he tends to catch people off guard with what he says, but he's succinct and incredibly sensible. probably the most insightful interview they've had is the parcinq interview. it was in the middle of the pandemic and we were pretty much still on lockdown, and they weren't exactly in the best place and everything was uncertain, so most of their answers dug deep unintentionally. stell's the happy pill of the group. like they would know how good the day would be depending on how chatty he is and you'd know he wasn't in a good place because the mood was really somber. everyone else tried to keep things light, but yeah. for me it's still one of their best interviews to date. re english in the philippines, people do understand english, and though engilsh WAS generally the medium of instruction (recently the government has issued a mother tongue directive as the medium of instruction), it depends on the nuclear level (family/friends) whether it is spoken on the daily, but majority of filipinos speak in their mother tongue. and we have 177 languages in the country. tagalog and english are like the 'common thread' languages because they're taught in schools. so fluency is a case-to-case thing. when you go to the philippines, and you ask some people for, like, directions, you might hear the phrase 'nose bleed'. it's something that we filipinos say when we have to wrack our brains to do something, and in most cases, it's to communicate effectively in english. most of us think in filipino and then translate in a very verbatim way instead of thinking and speaking in the language, so there's that 😅

i think the authenticity comes from our history, in the past filipinos fought so much for freedom. we love our freedom, we are brave people and that is also why filipino music is very diverse because artists does not focus much on commercialism. Music in the philippines usually was created from an artist personal experiences, views and their personal music influences.

I hope you could watch their vlogs or their showbreaks ( fun contents ) of theirs because their personality and closeness is just on another level! haha. they may have mentioned that they're getting to know each other more but way before their brotherhood has been the best! I hope you could get to dive in more with their personalities!

Good ending! Regarding how Pablo creates songs - there’s actually another Philippine interview circulating somewhere where he loses a game and the punishment was to sing a song. It was very interesting how he sang and played “What” on the guitar. It sounded so different vs. how he distributed the parts to the team members after.

In RollingStone interview all of them are talkative, you will be surprise at Ken, they're all laughing and having fun they joke around, they're very candid, they are more comfortable in that interview, they don't think about their grammar and pronunciation.

Of course Pablo is the songwriter and producer as well in their group. So, he has the authority to whether spoil or not their upcoming album.. But, maybe he's just get excited during this interview that's why he almost spoiled everything, unknowingly.

Your SB19 Interview RVs are very addicting that I always look forward to the next installment despite having watched the original videos already. So i hope you can still react to their other interviews. Anyway, about SB19 shooting up during the pandemic, yeah social media exposure has a lot to do with it. Since their videos often came up on my YT feed, that made me give in and watch. It took a while for me to appreciate them but constant exposure here in YT finally made me a fan of their work. And now, not a day goes by without me actively looking for SB19 RVs.

GKD is my fave RV channel. I love your inputs and realizations. 😊 These boys are talented but I was drawn to them even more because of their authenticity and personalities. Plus their inspiring story. I'm loving them more as I get to know them and journey with them. Truly appreciate GKD for trying to get to know the boys and their music.

SB19 really stands out because of their authenticity but some people don't think that they are authentic. I guess that's life. People can't really impress everybody and it's okay. Thanks for your insights. I really enjoy watching your videos.

They're really so relatable, specially Pablo a spoiler leader he is😂 but all of them are so real,and that's what i like about them, so human😂💙

After rewatching this interview, I can see they do tend to talk over each other and there is awkwardness. But they are not usually like this. Maybe it happens sometimes but not like this. I think it's the result of the combination of having to speak "full" English and the serious format of the interview. The boys are not that comfortable speaking in "full" English. But it at least makes it less hard when the interview is in a light or fun format thus the less awkwardness in their other English interviews. (FYI: most Filipinos are comfortable speaking English only when mixed with Filipino/Tagalog.) In their Filipino interviews, they are not like this. They are very much in tune with each other in Filipino interviews.

Pablo is the most confident speaking English, but all of them can speak English. Sometimes, it's just hard to find the right words to express yourself. I also think Ken is as articulate as Pablo, but he's just quiet.

You're much deeper in the SB19 rabbit hole now. I hope Lucas will be the same when he's back.

SB 19 is very relatable.

I wish all of their interviews and vlogs got English translations so that you will see how real and wacky they are. Stell is usually the most spontaneous when it comes to punchlines, just so on point and funny. Justin is the group's go-to when questions on creative concepts are thrown. He is especially fond of giving easter eggs on every MV they release. Josh, locally, answers the trickiest questions thrown to the group. Pablo often would look at Josh whenever this happens. Pablo gets to answer questions about their songs - message, inspiration, process. I could listen to him all day whenever he speaks. His Twitter posts are also thought-provoking. Ken, is the quietest of the group but commands attention whenever he speaks. So glad though that lately, he has been more elaborate on his answers because he obviously is very observant.

Even before the tour began, Justin has been trying to keep Pablo from revealing all the plans - earlier junkets he suceeded, until he didn't. Justin seems to largely be in charge of marketing and press releases, but as you can see, Pablo's passions are hard to contain, as is his mouth, and sense of childlike enthusiasm and wonder. As the youngest, Justin ironically often plays elder to the four.

Yes, indeed! they go BIG even though they were trained from small company before and become big independently, of course thanks to Tatang (means father) Robin, the one who push them through their humble beginnings before and supported them, back up them from the "harsh" feedbacks/comments-from interviews, esp. from our co-Filipinos/media outlet :( But what people see with them is even though they rise up, and became an icon to the rise PPOP, they remain humble- give their best in diff. kind of stages as Pablo says. Another thing I'm thankful for, is that eventhough their management is by a korean they are not as stringent as kpop companies. The boys mostly have freedom in their artistry, they have tremendous fan service and interactions with their fans, some even have vlogs on youtube.
