Looks like a good back saver for sure. I will get one in my next shop, just don't have any way to mount in my current space without building some kind of A frame.

with that cement floor an A frame on wheels would be great. you could lift the barrels of scrap up and back under it for loading

Nice, but what is your roof joist rated at?

not sure of the rating but it holds me. I built it with 2x6, and I don't plan to lift no 1500 lbs. 200 to 400 would be my limit. about the biggest thing I would lift would be a riding mower to scrap out

Fair enough. 400lbs is about 200 kilos here in England and I reckon most 6x2 joists would carry that, plus it looks like yours is fixed to a few of them. Nice.
