With only 99 days to go till the Brexit deal is supposed to be done, can the country's divisions ever be reconciled?
Exactly 13 years ago, on 20th December 2005, there was a heated debate over the UK's involvement in the European Union between then UK Prime Minister Tony Blair and then UKIP leader Nigel Farage.
Former Prime Minister Tony Blair was being challenged by Mr Farage over the amount of money the United Kingdom pays into the European Union.
"Why should British taxpayers pay for new sewers in Budapest, a new underground system in Warsaw, when our own public services are crumbling in London?" Farage claimed.
Tony Blair replied by saying, ""This is the year 2005, not 1945. We are not fighting each other any more."
Many of our subscribers asked us to collect and publish the footage, enabling them to watch this heated debate. Enjoy it.

Saffa you think because he had money, he should turn down the statutory payment and legally required pension given to an individual in the office of PM? Absurd. I don’t like Tony Blair but don’t believe he or anyone else should have to forgo the respective salary of the service and office they hold because they have respectfully earnt money elsewhere from other roles, intelligent investments or because it is not their only income source; what an ill suggestion. If you want money, go and earn it like everyone else: don’t put others down for being better at it than you.

MrB1923, It's called "Spin". It was invented by NewLab in 1997. They had a whole department dedicated to its production, headed by that Alastair bloke. Their first major success was the destruction of Railtrack, where so many ordinary people lost their potential pension pots (and were still investing right up to the last minute before Bozo ((remember him?)) pulled the plug on the company). Bozo was the fall guy specially set up to take the rap before disappearing into the sunset. The Twin Towers atrocity very conveniently provided a "good day to bury bad news". Blair likes to think that he was the hero behind the IRA laying down their arms (in fact they did no such thing - they "put them out of use") and by way of the Good Friday agreement, bringing "peace" to Northern Ireland. The truth is that the IRA was being shown up for what it was: a most evil, murderous band of terrorists, and British intelligence and persistence was gradually beating them. President Bush dealt the final blow by declaring "War on Terror" after 9/11. This included ALL terror, and meant that funding of the IRA from USA citizens was forbidden. Following on from this, Blair promised Bush "I am with you all the way", resulting in our participation in the invasion of Iraq. Spin was never more evident than during these times. For instance, we shall never know the true circumstances of poor Dr Kelly's death (re: weapons of mass destruction). Say no more, there's nothing we can do. Should Blair ever deign to read this, I can just infuriatingly imagine his face lighting up with that maniacal, devil-like grin of his!

Tony Blair along with successive leaders is the main reason why the referendum result turned out the way it did. There are some towns and cities across the UK that are so disenfranchised with their life and future that they cling to any kind of hope to help change their lives. Therfore voted Brexit. Of course this does not apply to all. Now we have the remainers in the political elite doing the same thing with frustrating the leaving of EU. The whole process is a mess. Of course Tony will accept no responsibility for the current mess we are in. There in lies the biggest problem. It's the mindset of the politicians that is a major issue for our futures.

Here Blair shows how much of a 'cult' follower he was and still is. That he is so personally devoted to the EU is to be commended from the point of view that he has stuck to his faith and the reasons for that faith but that he is also to be condemned for still supporting an institution that he claimed in 2005 would reform (he specifically mentioned the CAP) and yet 13 years later it has failed to do so. He argued that nation states should compromise in the interest of the EU as a whole and he did so by giving up part of the UK's rebate in return for what? Reform? Still waiting for that. It is no wonder that these leaders are so blind that they fail to understand you can only lead those who permit you to lead. Suffice it to say Blair is no longer a leader with any remit from the UK voting population. He lost that.
