Here are the steps of production of birdseye chilli in Malawi. Each stage of processing of raw materials takes place according to traditional methods. Drying is done in a natural way, by placing the peppers on long tables in the sun and the selection is hand made by workers of the place.

These women need more protection gear from the chilli please. They'd like to work obviously but these conditions, no way. She's coughing from the chilli irritation. Please help them women and men and you'll be more satisfied with the dollar they help you to make.

@@rousod doesn't hurt to push for it, make Malawi Sweden again ;) 🇲🇼 I used in my twenty to harvest grapes / apples for wine in France in the late summer, pay was good, we had shelter for a month but you better didn't had health concern about pestices =) we were young, happy and just working a little more than a month per year to have money in a short time. If you cough, the harshness of the dried chili or because of their post processing treatment.. It can be very different, caspaine is actually not dangerous, it's inflammatory for the lungs but also an healthy natural sanitizer in small amounts ingested/breathed. All I see is not so young women picking, I don't know much more with this video about their working conditions. This video is also 10y old but harvest by hand for tea/grains/flowers everything considered delicate and badly paid in poor countries used to be a woman job.
