I don't know if you'll see this, Lydia, but I have an important question. I'm a student in my first year of sixth form and I have absolutely no clue what I wanna do anymore in university, initially I was going to do Computer Science but since I do not have maths (my a levels are economics, business and computer science, though I might change the computer to accounting) I've been reluctant to do computer science since I think that my a level current combination would not be competitive enough (even for unis without the a level maths requirement). With my a levels I realised that Business Management was the only course that was close to what I could be interested in. However, I've been feeling extremely depressed since I feel like it may not fit what I like, I like a challenge and innovation when working but I know nothing about what I could do in life with a Business Management degree. Hence, I was wondering about how flexible this degree is and if it's easy to find jobs looking for people with this degree. P.s I would binge watch your vids back when I was 12 year old, I am now 17 year old and stumbled upon one of your videos on business management when searching it on youtube haha

With a business management degree, you get to know more about how you manage people, information about other organisations that have failed, and how you can learn from them. You can choose options that are relevant to your skills as well, however, this depends on university flexibility. Job-wise, you can do many roles such as consultancies, marketing, and HR ( you can do these roles with another degree as well, I know people in marketing that have a history degree, so it's very competitive to get a role in those big firms), or you can end up opening your own business. To get into a good university, you need a good personal statement + minimum grades, something that makes you unique, for example for a computer science course - you can try to code a project ( it doesn't have to be perfect, however, you have at least tried)/ business ( you can get some experience in marketing a product/ innovating a product/ or just say why innovation is your passion etc..) You are still in the first year, and you have many months before the UCAS deadline. Take your time to think, and do what you want to do.
