I recommend reading stand alone books that are a quick read. Whenever I am in a reading slump, it's usually b/c I'm not committed to anything that is a series or big book as my next read. I really got myself into thriller and/or mystery books. I love the Death by Coffee series and anything really by Darcey Coates. Gallows Hill by Darcey Coates is a great read!

I really loved "Ahren The 13. Paladin" I think it started kind of slow as well but they got really gripping and its one of my favorite series ❤. Its 13 books but i guess its fantasy. And i read it in german so i dont know if the english version is the same.
