For as long as they haven't invited Mr Malema to me this is just a corporate funded Oppenheimer baby. They invite some of the people who may differ from this guy just to legitimize this thing otherwise how can you call a voted party a cult but those who eats the state money and protect each other you say they aren't a cult(ANC)

I am the host and my agenda is definitely not hidden. In fact I explain my agenda in almost every episode: - I am not funded by anyone - I believe in the future of South Africa - I believe in free markets (even socialist countries end up free market countries through the black market - Cuba, USSR) - I believe in the stability of property rights - I have so much faith in the creativity, entrepreneurialism and intellect of black South Africans that I don't believe that they need to be held back by any politician telling them that they need BEE - I believe that big companies want to keep small companies out of business by creating barriers to entry like BEE and other forms of red tape - I believe that South Africans can make their own decisions and don't need to be told what to do by a cult leader
@siyandajola585
@siyandajola585 4 ай бұрын
I like what you are saying, however, your approach is wrong and would only benefit people who are already privileged. Those who are under privileged will not benefit anything because the status quo has not changed. YTo take a capitalist approach you must first have ownership of your economy - South Africa is not in that position. We have nothing to capitalise on. Secondly, we need to break apart existing systems that only serve the needs of whites, this is a reality. Banking sector is pro-white and therefore, these entrepreneurs you speak of, only white people Will benefit from any funding. Thirdly, you cannot deny the fact that the majority is unemployed. We therefore need to ensure that the majority is provided with equal opportunities for employment and economic growth. Lastly, the apartheid government nationalised all crucial sectors of the economy, why can’t we do that now? Don’t tell me about “cult leaders”, no need to call names because you don’t understand what is being presented 🙄

I have always been a fan of JJ. He is exceptionally knowledgeable and level headed. He is not scared to tackle the hard issues and comes accross as impartial and unaligned to a particular party. So many of these YT channel hosts can come across aligned to a specific part and drive a specific agenda. On JJ's show, he doesnt do that. Im fairly new to Mike's show and similar to Biznews i felt that it was too aligned to either the DA or not impartial enough. However, both channels are now interviewing people with different perspective. JJ being a case in point, which is a positve sign. For these channels to succeed, we need impartial hosts. Ask the hard questions but do not let your own views take over the interview. South Africans d9 not want propoganda. We want neutrality and facts. Our politicians need to be held accountable across the board, regardless of party.

Mike can you please interview OHM. I saw The 360 Experience interview Lauren and I decided within minutes to vote for them. Nobody is addressing the elephant in the room which is that the political system is the cause of everything that’s wrong in South Africa. Without system change there will be no change. We need to put democracy in the hands of South Africans and not in the hands of political parties and their donors. Are we so used to what politics has become that we can’t see that there is another way?

I appreciate the anger of the limited progress under 30yrs of ANC rule but having the EFF in government would only accelerate the road to disaster. They couldn’t run a small shop let alone a modern economy. We need to grow the economy to lift the lives of all, we need competent experienced people at the wheels. Cadre deployment is problematic, it's a Russian concept and it has not even worked that well there. In fact, if you looked at the report on the Chernobyl nuclear disaster, Cadre deployment caused the problem. The man at the top was appointed by the Communist party and was not technical in the least. Worst of all, he did not want to make decisions that he thought might cause him to lose his position. He refused to listen to the engineers who had many years of hand's on experience, so time ran out before he made a decision and the reactor exploded. A major disaster that could have been avoided.

@MrLechesa 5 ай бұрын
@@mikesham3204 That's your problem. You know very well that Mazzotti only paid for the registration of the party. That's in no way a structure. Nonetheless, Renting a stadium or buying T shirts is Not a structure. Structures is having formal Ward based branches with ELECTED leaders and programmes of Action. EFF even goes as far as having Voting District Election Task Force Conveners and Coordinators. Those are structures. Actual representatives. "Ground Forces" as they are usually called. EFF exists in every Ward and VD in the country. From rural Limpopo to Blouberg in Cape Town. They have democratically ELECTED representatives. Not appointees How many branches does BOSA or ActionSA have in Western Cape? Nevermind in Rural EC. Those parties will do nothing but eat into DA's constituency. Having money for posters is not having structures.🤣 Your understanding of Politics is usually misguided by your hate and fear for EFF Mike. Leave emotions out of your work. You're a smart guy, you can do much better.

That is a brilliant analysis Prof. May you please tell me what is cadre deployment. My understanding the way it was initially introduced to us by government was about deploying all those guys and their children who had gone into exile. That period concided with the return of soldiers who were integrated into then SADF. I even remember coining those who had not been out of the country as inxiles while the returnies were exiles. However, my analogy fell short when even people whose parents were never in the struggle became employed in lucrative positions especially in government.

@mikesham3204 no bhuti it hasn't, but also the DA hasn't been able to shake off it's back the idea of it being a "white party" even at that the one associated with Racism/Apartheid/Colonialism. Strangely though "white schools and Universities" especially white schools who even have a 100% white staff compliment are absolved of the demon of Racism/Apartheid/Colonialism that is apportioned to the DA, and it doesn't occur that a white school principal might be a branch chairperson of the DA, that I never understand. I wonder why a St John's College is seen differently, for example if "white" is demonic as politics seem to suggest

No he is not he is factual.... the DA should not have excluded the EFF in that moonshot thing of theirs, all the parties in that pact will not get 30% of the votes combined, he even excluded the PA, now where is the sense in that ? In a coalition no party dictates the terms they all sit down and find each other, so JJ is right there is no way the opposition will unseat the ANC without including the EFF in their unity they can forget. Hlabisa, Steenhuizen, Mashaba and Groenwald those guys and the other unknowns will never, never unseat the ANC in fact by excluding the EFF they are making a marriage btwn the EFF and the ANC the same coalition they say they do not want.

@@mikesham3204 even if true, tell me the huge difference 4-million will have in a country of 64-million? Of this 64-million, only 9% will certainly be voting DA or FF+. Except, unfortunately, I also do believe many of this 9% are part of the corrupt ANC etc. So probably less than 9%. Okay, anyway, let's now take that 4-million who moved away from the ANC, who will they be voting for? Some for DA or FF+ yes, but wIth Ace Magashule and Jacob Zuma starting their own parties, and maybe take some votes away from the ANC, we all know the ANC and their comrades, the new parties will certainly form some coalition. So even if you count 4-million less voters for ANC, the question is, who they will vote for, and also, as I've been told, those who don't support the ANC also just never pitch up to vote as they "think" it won't help, or that the ANC might even harm them. So you are welcome to not agree with me, many are welcome to disagree. However, logical sense is needed, and not to imagine some unicorns flying around.

Coalition means a directionless country because the parties coming together were not pulling in the same direction. The government of National Unity would be just a temporary stall. Things may stabilize slightly, but how long would that GNU last and whose direction will the country follow afterwards? Any benefits accrued during GNU cannot be attributed to any of the participants in the GNU.

If the current coalitions are anything to go by, it’s going to be a mess. A government of national unity will have a shelf life like a coalition but can at least look at the big ticket items that multi parties can find consensus on eg energy security, unemployment, healthcare and education. The biggest stumbling block will be who will lead to many egos and vested interests. The political parties will not agree to an outsider like the former CJ Mogoeng Mogoeng to lead.
@mikesham3204

Coalitions are not a choice, they will be a reality of no single party getting an outright majority. Coalitions can be very unstable or they can be highly productive. Most of Europe is run by coalitions and I doubt if a coalition in SA can be as bad the job done by the ANC.
