Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) or Menopause Therapy (MT) can be confusing. There are many different types and dosages of HRT. And, some women find they don't absorb some transdermal types of oestrogen as well as others.
There's often confusion over how to use the progesterone component as well. And when it comes to testoterone who is eligible and when do you start?
Profession Vikram Talauliker, co-founder of The Menopause Clinic London runs through the options and the dosages and the blood tests required.

12:18, what's the ratio to protect the endometrium. 14:17, progesterone per estrogen. 15:14, for bleeding issues. 21:51, HRT for bone protection (poor quality data). 24:10, the pharmacist said not to take progesterone without the estrogen? 24:42, only if you have bleeding issues. 27:55, for women who have no fertitly aspirations.

This video is AMAZING and this DR is phenomenal. I can’t tell you what a relief it is to find advice like this, I don’t know why the KZfaq algorithm hasn’t placed this higher for more views as I’ve been searching for HRT information. It was one of the most informative video on HRT. Thanks dr. m 49 yrs old Indian woman. I convinced my GP to give me HRT coz I had many symptoms but due to lack of proper dosage of progesterone I developed a polyp which was removed nd my HRT was immediately stopped. I want to continue but no other GP is willing to give. How can I consult dr Vikram.

if you take 3/4 mg oral estrogen dr vikram suggest to increas progesterone accordingly (Thanks a great suggestion for PMS)

This is just what I needed am on 4 pumps of gel but only 100mg utrogeston. I am having a lot of spotting . Am peri menopausel but not having a proper period I lightly bleed for maybe 2-3 days . I will have odd days spotting through the month . I take utrogeston vaginally at night . If I do up to 200mg do I take it morning & night ?

why not make it simply and take tresequence. I have used this HRT since 2000, brain body and skin all fantastic. I am 73. I did have terrible menopausal symptoms which meant I was unable to work ,I now run my own NGO and was able to start this when on HRT.

Why is Tresequence is different than other HRT medication and patches.

Trisequens can cause fluid retention (as well as peripheral oedema) and weight gain - these are common side effects that occur during treatment

Why cant regular blood tests help to determine correct dosage. I find GP’s dont do this.

I’m on 25 evorel and100 capsules of utrogestan. Now I have thickness of wall of womb. Should I take more progesterone! Thanks

My mireena coil misplaced, im awaiting for it to b removed and replaced? Im 54 perimenopause, im on besens estragelv4 pumps , my gyno told me to take utragestran for progesterone protection, im progesterone intolerance as ive always suffered from pms and heavy periods, im taking the utragestran 100mg VAGINALLY every other night , it been a month since taking it ,now im getting break through bleeding? Im flushing and having sleep ANXIETY, i get this before my breakthrough bleeds and aches and pains and feeling exhausted😢

Im a 53 yrs old woman in menopause i have taken tests and my estradiol Progesterone are within range but never the less im suffering like hell my hotflashes are so bad when they happen i get so bad that I find it hard to breath i have lost so much weight my face has become very old beyond my years my bones are weak and hurting my question is can I use hrt regardless of my test results?. my life is a nightmare literally 😢😢😢

If you’re having menopause symptoms you should be able to have HRT - it’s important to make sure they are related to menopause and rule out other things though as well.
