It's great thanks you very mich for your hard work I really like the point by point. It's very instructive to see it's by the eyes of a dancer. Absolutely. My favorite live performances that I've seen in their concert were Hobi and V. They were born to be on the stage. Hobi is a beast on the stage.

As a professional choreographer, isn't that so much fun and satisfaction to choreo a dance on such a big stage? Watch them practicing in studio is already sick, but on a stadium stage, man, I might die in satisfactory to watch it live with my own eyes.

j-hope definitely slayed, he is a seasoned hip hop dancer, dancing and blowing people away since childhood. Also his verse is the one which inspired the entire song of Mic Drop in the first place.

Responsible for this music J-Hope, master of choreography, rapper and stable voice in each choreography. Cap boy specialized in popping and gives everything even in the easiest practices. I know many times you mention it just because of his dance without knowing who is just J-hope if it is worth mentioning for being a main dancer of the group. I love your work and I appreciate the effort.

The body roll in Mic Drop makes me think of a beating heart. Then the way they have their arms open while body rolling looks as if protecting something which makes me feel as if they are protecting a beating heart.

Yeah, there are parts of choreo that the production director for BTS and TXt don't "clean up" cause they let the performers have a bit of their own thing in the dances. So like with the arms for the final part of Hobi's section, they have NEVER been the same. BH seems to like in sync mostly as necessary. They used to be seriously crazy with how in sync they were but I think over the years the staff/the groups have seen that some of their own personality quirks and moves as long as it doesn't ruin the whole piece is nice. They love adding their flavor and they know the fans enjoy it. So if it's not breaking the piece in a bad way, they let them be free and play.

"Hold me back!! Imma attack you with body rolls". "Let's walk to the wall ... and destroy it." 🤣🤣 You have such a way with words!!! And YES!! Strong CYPHER vibes!!! 🔥🔥🔥 BTS always brings powerful performances, but the sheer grit and intensity of MIC DROP holds a special place in my heart. It reminds me of their earlier stuff - If I Ruled The World, Attack on Bangtan, Baepsae, Paldogangsan, and ofc those legendary Gayo Daejeon performances!! It almost felt like everything's come full circle, so it was really fitting that they went back to hip hop as the vehicle to celebrate their success (and roast their haters)! _Fun fact:_ you mentioned the "call & response" at 17:07. In "Boyz With Fun", there's a "V on Top" moment in the dance where V/Taehyung ad libs a move and then everyone copies him. Except in MIC DROP, it's "BTS on Top"! 🏆🏆🏆🔥😉

I have a theory that this was most probably filmed as a reference for the camera directors for marking, and then was released as a content. Mainly because they’re wearing name tags to identify members which is common practice in the K-pop industry. It also explains why some members are more relaxed than they would be for an official dance practice videos. :)

Sometimes you say that K-pop idols are singer first and dancers last I just want to say that that is not true some idols are dancers first then singer/rapper for example j- hope (the guy with the cap and t-shirt) he is a dancer then rapper he addition as a dancer, he dances longer than he raps/sings

Emeroy, I've been watching your reaction videos for awhile now, and while I'm a veryyyyyyy beginner dancer, because of your analyses, I recognize details I wouldn't otherwise notice (e.g. how groups use the floor, textures). Thanks for taking the time to explain your analysis at a level even non-dancers can understand. I am definitely learning from your videos! Keep up the great work man.

Loved your reaction!! One of my fave vids of bts is when during one of the concerts someone in the staff played the wrong version of mic drop (without the last part) and everyone is so hyped up, our fave moment is gonna happen in a second... but the music cuts and everyone on stage is doing the agressive bodyrolls to no music 😭 it was so funny but caught me off guard the first time I saw it!

Emeroy quite LITERALLY says multiple times in this video "ooo, I like that outfit" "oh, I want that jacket" "I want that jacket too" throughout the whole time seeing the performance. Why are you pressed about people disclosing the brand? And someone being "obsessed" with brands is not your business anyways, why is that an issue?

I’m more analytical for vocals and the placement of the instrumentals, like I know that they’re all great dancers but I’m not a dancer, so it’s really nice to see it from the point of view of someone who professionally does or has knowledge about dance, it really makes you appreciate the performance as a whole.

Nice reaction as a non-dancer i really enjoyed it and learned a lot!! I would recommend from them jimin and jungkook dancing black and white by michael jackson, hoseok(j-hope) jimin and jungkook segment in bts festa 2017 and pretty much every award performance hahha thanks for the video !!

I had to laugh a little at you explaining what a cypher was because BTS is known for their rap cyphers 😂 but you probably don’t get many requests for them because of course there’s no dancing. Watching your breakdowns is really refreshing and informative!

Hobi kills Mic Drop, the vibe of the song fits him so well. Jimin is not feeling well :( in the dance practise (kinda sad that he has to practise even on days when his energy is low) but what I want to commend him on is that he is really good at "marking" his spot, and like you said, we know he will bring the energy during the performance.

I’d love so much if you did baepsae (aka silver spoon aka crow tit aka try hard ... it has many names lol) by BTS. I think you might really enjoy it. There is a dance practice and live performances (the Epilogue Japan performance in 2016 I believe has a nice dance break). If you wanted beforehand there is a Korean explains video on dkdktv that breaks down the lyrics of the song. I know you’re a busy guy so not sure if you’d be able to squeeze that part in, but the choreo goes so well with the meaning on the song. Anyways, thanks in advance if you get a chance to do it! One of my favorite choreos of theirs and isn’t reacted to by dancers as much as I wish it was! Lol

Something I didn't notice at first... their MIC switch game is ON POINT! The MIC Suga drops at the end it NOT his MIC. He drops a fake/cheap MIC and Jin taps his live MIC to make the hit/drop sound. O_O Mad Skilz.

Comment #232. Yeah, only a year late, but maybe someone will be entertained by this... 16:10 Funny thing about Jimin having the "best spot". His stans notice when he gets the worst spot. "Here we go again! Did you see the distance he had to cover that time? It's always Jimin." "Because he's so quick on his feet!" "It's not fair. His legs are shorter." "Don't say he's short!" "I didn't!" "You did!" Such comments trended for awhile. ... Well, this time he caught a break!
